Hi I play on shader model 2.0, I have a sandstorm, and falling snow, but not raining so, please help

I'm using ATI Radeon 9550

On your realm select screen after entering username and password, pick 'Options' on top left of box, then advanced option, at the bottom, uncheck 'weather FXs', that will turn off all the weather

I would like to have all the weather effects, rain falls only on the shader model 3.0?

I'm sorry, i totaly read your first post wrong, my bad..

but if you see sandstorms, then you should see rain over grassy area's when it happens, also you should see snow falling when in alsuis on snowy parts..not sure why your only seeing sandstorms..maybe wrong place wrong time..? I know it can take days sometimes for me to see snowfall for example..cos im barely around snowy parts.
But yeah..if you see one weather effect, you should be able to see them all.

maybe is the video card, I mean, you are using an AGP card with poor support on dx9. it seems to be a driver problem. have you updated the drivers recently?

Ok, lets go to proceed as follow:

Go to the catalyst control center (CCC), then look for the option "information" and take note of the driver versión, it can be 8.1 for example.

if you dont have the CCC or you cannot find the driver version, please go to start and the RUN. please write "dxdiag" and find the driver version by switching the tabs.

any further question please let me know.

I installed version 10.2 (now updated the directx),but there is no difference (as in my friend is the storm in me just hear it)

I do not know what may be the reason, I give up

have you tried switch between OPENGL and D3D?

ATI had many problems with that, maybe by selecting other render, you can fix it. Let me refresh that you are using an oldest card with drivers released the last year.

I have an ATI HD 4670 and with drivers 10.4 it crashed on load by using OPENGL. It was fixed with newest drivers

for now, try change the render and then play a bit with the graphic options in the video tab.

PD: are u sure that ati radeon 9550 is the model of your graphic card?
