Looks like a good supportive setup, as a level 50 knight there's no point in trying to deal damage anyway. The only reason why I wouldn't use this setup on my own level 50 knight is the fact that you don't use Stone Temple (at level 5). Yes I'm HP-addict ^^ (if you ever want to go the Way of the HP, at 50 it's pretty normal to have around 5k and at 60 6k).

in steel temper to get level 4 defensive support, that skill will make your life so much easier at fort wars.

I got a lvl 49 knight.
differences to my setup: I have piercing weapon tree maxed for the slashing damage reduction passive, Agile Maneuvers 5 for grinding with a good rapier - I'm on a mixed setup for war and grinding. Other spells I use MS 4, taunt 2, kick and feint on 3 each, Onslaught 3, Intimidate 3, Stone Temple 3, Lethal anatomy 1, precise block 5, stars shield 4. I don't use AOO, Heroic presence, Deflecting Barrier, Defensive Stance, Balestra, Rips Breaker, Disable Limb. IMHO Precise Block is worth to have on lvl 4 or 5. I would probably drop AOO and have the slashing damage reduction spell of the piercing tree instead. |

Its a decent build. I would drop ribs in favour of something else though. I assume you are weak versus pierce for there is no other reason to skill blunt so high ( Well because you skill deflecting so high you may want to help cover rangers so you skill to protect yourself. In such a case conjus do heal me up pretty well when I stay with the rangers) .
Personally I would remove blunt ( if you manage to score the right gear) and up slash to take advantage of the blunt passive resist as you will be facing more melee. That saves you 4 points and as you have both knocks high you could probably drop ribs (save 2 more points) as you have balestra. If you can afford it I would up tactics a bit to take advantage of a point on disabling. Its quite useful even on lvl 1. Even though it is a support set I would normally put 1 point into challenge (for horse runners ) and 1 point into intimidate and the rest in stone temple. I do like block. I am not suggesting it because a lot of people don't like it but I usually use block on level 1. I think precise block on 3 is fine. If you find yourself in a situation where PB 3 will not help you, 5 is not going to help you either. I usually like to have one dizzy around so that would mean either shield bash or back slam. Yes I use back slam. its significantly easier to get off and I will take the concession because my ping usually does not allow me efficiency in spell casting. If you have good ping and some CS gear then shield bash is the better choice. Even a level one could be fatal to a lock that just got up from a knock or got immobilised. Regards |

About this, I myself always use Precise Block on level 4 because of the amount of spells I can cast in that time, 4 seconds is just not enough for me. Of course, that is more for a pvp purpose than for war.

Drop AoO to 3, kick/feint 3 put at least 3 points in defensive support. Rest in stone temple. Really, you don't need so many lvl 4/5 skills, you won't be lvl 50 for too long, you're set up is nice... All it's missing is more power points.
For the time being I'd suggest just keeping it like that, and worry about a few more lvls. |

So I changed my setup accordingly, dropped rib breaker and 1 point from each knock and put them into the const passive. Thanks for the advice everyone, I'll be sure to post some setups in a few levels too to get some feedback. I use Precise Block 3 because I don't really use it to buff up (unless I get knocked off a mount or something), skilling it higher than 3 would be a waste of points for me because I just use this on the chase and i'm about to get CC'd. I skilled the resist pierce passive high because I just like all my characters having a high pierce resist because it's the most commonly used weapon type in archers and sometimes warriors. I'd like to get the other passives too, but not enough points at this level to get it.

What I would use at lvl 50; make of it what you will. I like lvl 5 PB. It's good for preparing other buffs, or for stalling while you wait for cooldowns. Also I don't like relying on passives much.

Some of these choices will depend on the gear you have and the race you choose. For example, as a Molok it would be difficult to get away with stone temple 1 at level 50. Also, as you are a melee class, ping is quite important to weapon and choice off spells. Because of my ping and generally unstable connection, I have had to make many spell concessions for example back slam over shield bash.
Experiment and go with what works best with your connection, play style, gear and race. That is probably the best advice I could give as each build is a personal one. Regards |
