Hello,
downloaded and installed the linux 64-bit client. I have compiled the libtxc library.
Using git xf86-video-ati, mesa and libdrm. 2.6.35-rc6 with KMS. Xorg 1.9-rc5. OpenGL applications run fine.

I never even tried to get passed the character creation screen. There is no point, all meshes are either completely white, red or any kind of untextured variants.
I am not going to use the fglrx drivers. Other OpenGL games run fine. It isn't my system.
I tried high/low texture settings, I deleted all data and left it to redownload all (with the download everything option). No dice.

For Radeon 2000HD, fglrx is currently your ONLY option to play.

FYI the reference to GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc in extensions info is really a driver bug, r600 drivers do NOT support S3 texture compression (or any DXTN style texture compression) at this time.

Have you tried changing this option in the configuration file and seeing if it helps any? Also, NGD really needs to add support for generic ARB texture compression instead of forcing the use of S3TC, which Open Source drivers do not support fully, if at all.

Even allowing us to use GL_RGB4 instead would be a much welcome addition.

Aren't the textures precompressed, though? I'm fairly sure if they weren't that disabling s3tc support in driconf would stop the problem.
