To sum up my thoughts, there are already too many damage resistances in the game. In the past, they would've been neccessary, however armor was vastly improved, Knight auras were fixed, and a multitude of other changes, the net result is now people hardly take any damage in war, and even in PvP numbers can get extremely low on a buffed opponent, leading to DOT spam as the only way to kill. In my opinion, this approach is wrong and is crippling balance. Current implementations of damage resistances are fine, so focus on giving players more health and mana instead to make them survive longer, but we need to stop reducing all damages except Barbarian hits to <100, or its just going to get worse.
Pay attention to how you die next time in wars, I bet it has alot to do with barbs, Break/Tear apart, Ethereal arrow, Mana burn, etc. |

I dont know if it will be so bad, i wait and see some tests done.
For my barbarian 15% more resist would simplified and in theory would mean about 15 dmg on a hunter hit, ~30 dmg on a marksman hit, ~75 dmg on a barb hit, ~75 dmg on fire ball. Compared to what i resist today when fully buffed with my lvl 50 armour and quite a few random resists, 37% physical resist, 25% protection buffs. The resist enchantments are ok, but im not sure it worth the investment at this point. I will probably get some anyway, but generally i think a set with constitution and AS, HC etc and some additional enchants will serve most classes better, compared to warmaster set that only has enchantments. |
