These were my eventual configs for the BARB:
Grind : Using two handed kutacha katana (with gem) http://trainer.claninquisition.org/t...eamdbvaauFaaEa PVP : Using Shamshir sword : http://trainer.claninquisition.org/t...DauaFdaLbaaaaa Comments welcome. Especially on PVP - because I still find it hard - died 44 times for the 40 kills. Ended up reskilling to offer Onslaught and Off with their heads. Providing a benfit for others when at low level seems key for non ranged characters (warriors) in particular. That way you bait the hook to lure people to fight alongside you. They are more likeley to finish off the kill than you at level 40, but you still get the RP for participating in the kill (normally - GRRRR! - NGD are you reading along - bug - devastated - and missing RP for kills - post Halloween hell - your change control procedures/testing leave a lot to be desired. Would prefer to concentrate on bug fixes rather than events - especially if it adds more bugs). Last edited by JGFMK1; 12-05-2011 at 09:08 AM. |

Difficult to do that on RA. You normally have 4-10+ coming at you at once.... But it is a tactic I try to use for Warlock... Just wish there was a spell for piercing resistance for barb - as it's supposed to rush the opposition. I keep getting cut to shreds by arrows.

Acutally found out under the Blunt weapons spells there is in fact a resist piercing spell called 'Steel temper'.
But I have to say I like grinding a Barb less than Knight at level 40 & still find PVP next to impossible too - at least to kill more than be killed - if you keep track of kill stats. With the Knight, the armor becomes sufficient around level 39-40 or so to continue fighting without so many interruptions for heals (every minute or two with Barb). I find it better to just die with the Barb when grinding, and come back with necro - too inefficient to wait around. Are the new duel wielding weapons any better? What is preferred spell book for Barb - PVP & grind? |

Grinding a knight can be very easy, just check the damage type of the mobs you grind on and then buy armor that is good/very good to that type of damage. Kick, feint, caution and Agile Maneuver/Acurate Swings/Brutal Impact were really the only spells i needed when grinding, i never felt i needed a damage spell.
If you want to know my current setup at level 52: http://www.cwassall.co.uk/regnum/tra...0-0-0-0-0-0-0| this is for hunting and grinding, just to give an idea how i play at 52.
