Most of your enemies are archers. How do you deal with 60lvl barb or lock?

With barbarians I like to kite them with my shortbow, so that they don't lose interest and hug a tree, constantly keep ensnare on them and hit mobility when they use spring, if they get dangerously close or whatever use dist shot/ambush, if they roar/kick you most times you're dead, if you aren't dead, use stunning fist on them as you get up from the knock (or sotw + retal if they have UM up)

As for locks, I keep out of range of their attacks and hit them with my longbow until their barrier breaks, then sotw, confuse rapid shot and cold blood them, if they have nice defence they'll probably still be alive so by the end of the SotW you ambush them do a few normals and ensnare and if they're STILL alive use a stunning fist after they get up, just a couple of normals and an ensnare after that they should be dead :P


Of course though, this is RO and things are going to go to shit, so you're going to have to improvise when things don't go your way

I thought so.
My chances against barb is very low. SOTW usualy fails, his speed bonus is higher, and spiritual blow does its job. Well... I am still not 60lvl.

Anyway I love hunter's gameplay. It is not easy - the main thing for me.

Fighting barbs on my hunter, the most difficult thing since all the changes has been to simply accept that he's either going to catch you, or he's going to run to a tree and hide. If you're okay with him running to a tree, then it's quite easy to just kite from long range and spam ensnares. Maybe you'll get lucky and he's too stupid to take cover. If not, you're basically screwed fighting at a tree, so you may as well just run when it comes to that.

Personally, I assume a melee range confrontation is unavoidable, since I'd rather not settle for just escaping. I do what I can to take his health down at range, while paying attention to the duration of his berserk. Allow him to gain ground on you by using your DoT, sudden strike, dual shot... things that slow you down, but also help you kill him. He'll see you stopping for cast times and burn his UM early, so you can ambush when he's close. If you've timed it well, his berserk will be gone.

Here I like to fight close range, for a short while at least. Confuse will keep his berserk off, and guarantee you aren't deafening roared (don't get deaf roared, that's bad). I wouldn't waste your SotW at this point, if you allow him to kick you while you're buffed and he's not, you will survive it. This will also mean your escapist or retaliation will be more effective afterwards.

Ideally you should have him very close to death at this point, if you can land a stunning fist before he can use UM, one more ambush should let you finish him. If not you've still got mobility, SotW and dist shot up your sleeve. Naturally something will always get resisted, and you've gotta adapt, but as long as his buffs are gone you should be okay.
