Works but not well
The new binary worked thanks, but it crashes every 2-10 minutes. Seems to be linked with right clicking. It doesn't happen every time I right click, but every time it crashed I was holding down the right mouse button, and when I got back to my xfce desktop there was a right click menu open. It's as if the application is passing my right clicks to the desktop when it crashes.

Mint12LISA(Ubuntu 11.10) less than a year & a 1/2 old & labelled obsolete since april (wtf?); same story as others, game was working, then it downloaded a 4+ mb patch (like the 4th or 5th one in last few weeks) at launcher stage during the week of 6/8/13, & it hasn't worked since. Click on app, nothing happens. At all. Downloaded Surak's patch above; it auto-updated the 'rolauncher' app, but game still won't run. Click on app, nothing happens. At all. Nothing's changed. Hardly anything ever does for the better around here .... enough is enough ....
Been seeing & saying it for years now & I am entirely TOO tired of waiting for those much needed changes & fixes I know will NEVER, EVER get made. Thanks for the effort, Surak, but simple truth is, NGD's Linux code-&-support has been slippin' for years. We all KNOW this & why (one man can't do it all). So, stay at it, peeps; if you keep doing (& not doing) pretty much what you already have been & try just a lil' bit harder, you're sure to purge almost ALL your old Linux-&-'Whoreus'-players out .... enough is enough .... I know it's way past high time for a REAL change, but in order to get it, I'm gonna' have to give it to meself. NGD won't or can't. May try RO/CoR again someday & be back once I install a new OS that's fully current & supported (assuming that actually matters), or maybe not (not only am I seriously allergic to BS, but my tolerance is REALLY waning hard), so, for now .... movin' on .... I'm outa' here .... exit, stage left .... enough is enough .... <--- . . . o o o O O O |

I did post this in somewhere else already but maybe it gets more attention in this more recent thread. I assume we all want to get this fixed if possible.
Another segfault, I can login just fine but launcher crashes after selecting a server. Arch Linux x86_64, w/ LXDE and up to date Launcher progress bar shows "Verifying" at about 90% for a split second before the crash. If it helps, here's the callstack: Code:
#0 0x00007ffff4312ce0 in ?? () #1 0x00007ffff4260327 in ?? () #2 0x0000000001a3c370 in ?? () #3 0x0000000001a2c800 in ?? () #4 0x00007ffff73b68dc in ?? () md5sum: 79322c6d883519bcd72540ecb9a05078 rolauncher If you can't make anything of the callstack, you could provide me with an unstripped binary and I'll run it again. |
