Windows xp support broken after latest update

Hi,
after recent update the game does not start on windows xp.
It updates ROLauncher.exe (6609Kb) and then... ERROR!
It says it is not a valid 32 bit application.

On Windows 7 64bit the game updates and works perfectly

Any idea ?

Come on, can you please fix this? This runs on my low end netbook.

Please fix this for Windows XP!

I've opened a ticket opened for this issue, hopefully we can get back support for XP.

I imagine a lot of people overseas may still be on XP, as mysef, as this runs on a Netbook very well.

Sorry to say this but it seems ngd doesnt care about their own forum anymore i see many questions without answers on the forum..

And im sorry i cant help you with your problem

Hello, see below for the official work around sent to me by Nimble Giant Support -

Please, download the following file: http://download01.regnumonlinegame.c...ROLauncher.exe

and replace the current ROLauncher.exe file in the installation folder of the game.

After this, do not run the launcher yet. Now open ROLauncher.ini with a text editor and make sure you have these two lines in there:

[build]
alternate=2

This will avoid updating to the current version that is not working in Windows XP.
