the 9200 is unsupported by ati these days and If I remember the 9250 and under cards should have full 3d support in the x.org standard driver(tho I could be wrong) just as intel's IGPs are fully supported under it. This doesn't make the 9200 all that great a card tho as it wasn't all that great a card when it was current and these days it's very out of date.

So give it a shot with the lowest settings in regnum and try other games like Warsow and unreal tournament 2k3 or 2k4 with the FPS counter running and see what you get with the standard x.org driver compared with the final release of the ati binary blob driver.

I use this graphic card with ubuntu and Mesa 7.0 and run very smooth.
Try to install mesa 3d 7.0.1 (latest release).
Follow theses steps: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...highlight=mesa

Regards!

I've the 9200SE with xorg driver (3D enabled) and have installed mesa-7.0.2 and the problem persist. Is there any way to avoid the verification of the GPU?
