I been hit with base hits for 1800+ and some crits for over 2000 while I'm buffed and my armour points are around 1880.

and Necro, hmm knights have no range, no shield buffs, no vampirism, and no soul keeper and take the same damage as you...

This has nothing to do with Knights defence, but rather that South Cross is overpowered.
Add to that fact that you are level 43 and thus don't have your full constitution + maybe your armor is bad against slashing.
