Weapon speed

With the new update, does anybody know how much difference is each weapon speed, or is that a closely-guarded secret by NGD?

For example, I have two swords:
1) 40-60, slow
2) 20-40, medium
Is it better to use the medium one or the slow one to do max damage?

I heard lots of "theories" on the forums about how it's 25% faster from v.slow to slow but not from medium to fast.

Note that this is only for melee weapons, I think.

I saw that but that was before the new update 1.08. Does the new update increase everything by 100%?

Melee-weapons didn't get their speed increased.

oh, so only archer weapon speed changed? Did mage weapon speed change as well? Thanks.

Mages can cast faster because the gcd is faster than a fast staff cycle, and cast speed now seems to be bound to the gcd rather than wep speed,

Yes melee weps also have damage reduced but no speed increase, didnt notice that one, guess It should be looked into.

I think the differance is around 25% but this is only what I was told, I have never checked it.
