entonces lo editás así:

y lo dejás así

cuando termines, apretás control-X (eso significa el ^-tecla en las otras cosas que podés hacer), te pregunta el nombre, apretás enter y te dice que va a sobreescribir, le decís que si y reiniciás el servicio de red

 /etc/init.d/networking  restart

y probás si hay conexión

ping google.com

(si no entendés que significa, dejá andando eso un rato y copiá aquí la salida)

Edite el archivo y lo deje como me dijiste. luego reinicio el servicio de red pero sigo sin poder conectarme

es como si el router no está mandando bien los dns, probá editándolos y dejarlos así (si no me equivoco te estoy pasando los de arnet, o tal ves del proveedor que tengo yo)

borrar todo lo que haya. Si tenés alguna duda, antes de tocar nada copiá aquí el contenido

nameserver 200.3.216.17
nameserver 200.3.216.18
^X

después, sin reiniciar el servicio de red, probá hacer un ping a google

Nada Pescau.. sigue igual..igual gracias por tu tiempo pero creo que kubuntu desaparecerá pronto de mi pc

¡Hola! Tengo instalado ubuntu 7.10 en esta PC, el problema: (escribo desde esta misma) Tengo problemas con los repositorios, no me deja instalar ningún tipo de plugin ni me deja actualizar nada. Cuando quiero, por ejemplo, recargar la lista desde el Synaptic, me dice lo siguiente:
"No se pudieron descargar todos los índices de los repositorios.
El repositorio quizá no esté ya disponible o no se pudo contactar con él por problemas en la red. Si hay disponible una versión más antigua del índice que falló, se usará esa versión. En otro caso el repositorio será ignorado. Compruebe su conexión de red y que la dirección del repositorio esté escrita correctamente en las preferencias."

Y cambiá todo lo que diga gutsy a hardy. Guardalo. Después:

sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Y esperá unas horas.

Puse en la consola "sudo apt-get update" (como también Tanahans me lo indicó) y aún la consola esta trabajando desde hace 5 minutos, ¿va por buen camino?

, (anteriormente, al hacer update la consola andaba 5 segundos analizando no-se-qué y luego aparecian muchos "404 not found" y me pedía que haga upgrade para solucionar el problema, y este luego me decía que no se podía eliminar ni borrar ni actualizar nada).

Edit.: Terminó, me indican tipear "sudo apt-get upgrade"... esta trabajando. De echo, al terminar el primer comando me apareció un cartelito en el desktop indicándome que hay nuevas actualizaciones de software, ¡es una buena señal!

¿Hardy no es la LTS? Yo usaría esa, aunque no sé... Podés probar con Intrepid.

Otra cosa, te conviene hacer dist-upgrade y no upgrade. Sé lo que te digo.
