I would first ''nerf'' Confuse. As Hunter I don't use it but after that update I think I am gonna use it. Confuse is really a powerfull spell of Hunters (not only Hunters also for Marksman).

I would reducde the time and also increase the mana consumption. And maybe even put a change rate for it, longer CD.

If this don't works and it will still be to OP, than I would get rid of it .

you make it out like its warlocks and meteors...its not that bad, i hardly ever get confused and it also puts tactics into the game because the hunters job is to confuse warlocks that are casting terror and any conjurer.

You don't really think confuse disables sultars terror?

There is already a spell that does that. It's called Darkness.

IMO I am fine with a spell with similar effects to Confuse. There should be a way to disable support. Make Confuse the complete opposite of Darkness where you cannot cast positive powers to allies and disable Dispel, but allow self buffs and non-damaging offensive spells and it would be balanced, even if the duration is retained.

That's too much of a nerf. It would make Confuse useless except on support conjus (and maybe knights).

Nope, that's actually what confuse seems to be intended for, an RvRish style spell. But currently it's just abused.

Why shouldn't I be able to, say, confuse an archer to keep him from using evasions, or confuse a barb to keep him from roaring/howling/buffing?

Confuse does need some tweaking but that suggestion solves the problem from support conjurer mindset. Unfortunately the side effect is to make the power useless on other classes.
