Most people who are complaining haven't become a Warmaster and talk very biased about the skills. It's been enough time to get the WM coins but they just don't want to give it a try.

This is exactly where is the issue. If this is a disguised personal attack, to be clear, my main character was very fast to level 60 because of the fact one has to escape as fast as possible of the mandatory boring grinding thing and i have enough money to buy my time (boosters), BUT i'm not yet a warmaster because i was somehow retired from game after that and can only won 2000 WM points per day i play (if i play long enough), which means that i need much more than 60 days, giving the fact i don't play everyday and i'm never on when Syrtis/Alsius invasions occur (allowing to kill those 10.000 WM points nobles). Whatever, you can't deny the right to people to say what they feel. Don't forget that server population is a mix of low, mid, high levels, and this will be always the case, RO isn't a game only for level 60 warmasters afaik. Come on, don't you think WM barbarians are "very biased" too about this update ?

That's the flaw with this update, there's too much of a difference between regular players and "warmasters".

I am a warmaster and the answer is both yes and no. I enjoyed the grind, and the constant conventional (pre portal ) war. War was good, it was a challlenge, you had to think again because you were no longer top level. The game was fun this way. Because I know I am buying entertainment and intangibles , I was never disturbed by so called loss of XP I never owned. I took it in stride and pressed on. My 6 chars had a total of 32 million XP . So what. Warmasters was also something to look forward to, a new height to achieve. But this is where it started going sour for me. I was worried about getting 60. I was worried because I knew it would just revert to an augmented lvl 50 game play. There was no new content, nothing left to conquer , no new bosses, no new objectives that would require massive effort to overturn. I was worried that the update would peter out too quickly. And it did. Second part of this came when Alsius became immune for the first time. For me, the save camping was an all time low in the history of the realm of Ignis. Still, I wanted warmaster and even though I tried to do hunting and kill whoever came to our forts, I would take days to rack up enough kills. So, I bit my teeth and went to the save like everyone else. If I wanted warmaster, I had no choice. I never enjoyed it and some might remember me just standing at the back looking on. I get my 30 I just log. I enjoyed my first 3 attempts at the noble quests. I did them during the day when Alsius/ Syrtis gates were unexpectedly broken and had to fight hard to get to the noble. Indeed my first time there, I think only Ealdorm and Plunder were with me and I had to fight through 6 Syrtis and live long enough to get that quest. Likewise for Syrtis. I got in with 2 lower levels and we took a long route and waited to get our chance. This was also a day assault. Those expeditions got me to warmaster. And it was fun because the odds were stacked. Since then, the game has become stale. I was about the 20th WM in Ignis by that time and in the night crew we were a dime a dozen. So much so that I hardly used my spells. Indeed , in my first few runs I went out with only 3 WM spells. At this point, I have decided to play outside my normal and comfortable time (evening crew- night crew) and play a bit in the morning crew. At these times Ignis is up against it and there is a consistent and strong challenge from the others. Ignis truly is the underdog in this slot. I grew up in this game in that environment so I relish it. I may not be on much and I cannot guarantee that I will not run night crew sometimes, but I look forward to trying my hand at the challenging morning shift. It is the only place with the true fun for me right now. The fun for me is : backs against the wall and fight incredible odds to come out on top. Night crew is if I need a souvenir axe. |

The question is:"Wort to became a WM?...it is fun ?" Answare:"Nope". No more skills=shot the ducks in a Sega from 1985.... There is no more RPG in this game, there is no more Free to play. There left only MMO from MMORPG. Seems you are just one of the guys that enjoy OP-nes and not the fun of RO. There no need anymore brain to play this game.Push random buttons and say in your mind "Damn i am so cool!". Last edited by HidraA; 05-19-2011 at 08:13 PM. |

The fort battle and invasion are only for grinding WMCs. Doesn't make fun, when the enemys are in a huge amount at a fort (at least twice as much as players from your own realm).
This situation for example is on Musp at Aggersborg. Iggis are sitting the whole day at the fort and wait for invasion in Alsius. |
