ok i was going to be out of this subject but i decided that i tihnk it best to call for reasoning.
so there may be alot of different setups and some may work better in different situations than others. Some may use certain spells, some may not. But i believe that's it those different setu-ups that makes fighting so fun. I mean how fun would PvP be if everyone had the exact same setup? not very. Everyones setup is their own and they know how to use it because essential they designed it and used it since they've been in the wz. So some may fight defensively, some offensively but it's how different people play that makes the way we play that much more enjoyable.

I use my speed bursts constantly. All of them. No one is telling you that you don't know how to play Brad, just that you might have more success if you used a more speed-centric build. Let's look at the example you use above, of "do you leave your team behind when you use it(speed) hunting?" Answer: Yes. And once i get the enemy to stop and fight, i can cast SOTW to survive for 20 seconds until the rest of my hunting party catches up. Or camo, or Low profile and retreat, there are so many combos you can use. The one thing that doesn't change though, is that in a pursuit, without the speed to catch the enemy, none of your other skills matter at all. In fact when we are chasing a large pack of enemy, i will speed boost to catch up then use escapist/Ensnare arrow to first catch, then blow past each enemy. Many times they will stop to shoot at me as i pass them, thereby causing themselves to get over-run by follow on Syrtis forces. Which of course, is part of my sinister plan. (lol). When the enemy retreats i am not looking to kill one or two of them....but rather all of them. The only way to do that, is to be fast enough to catch all of them. Occassionally this tactic gets me killed, but i'm a fair trade for an entire retreating force, i think. ![]() Quote:
Weaknesses being very low firepower(max of lvl 3 bow skills), lessened defenses (max lvl 4 for acrobat, def. tactics, spell elude, dodge, and no SOTW) , and limited speed(max of 135%). In exchange you get a lvl 5 pet, excellent long range scanning, and lvl 5 ensnare. Lvl 5 ensnare is great, but i'm not a fan of pets, and IMO lvl 5 tracking sucks down too much mana, especially when hunting solo. I typically use lvl 3 Surviellance. To each their own. ![]() Quote:
In fact, if you get one confuse or similar attack on a target when a pack of your guys is killing the bad guy, you will get more RP than if you just attacked him regularly. Caltrip arrow is one of the best RP harvesting skills in Regnum. A truly great spell, unfortunately DI stops it, though on the upside, it can be cast from SOTW. Quote:

You can have the most potent attack in the game, but without the speed to put your weapon into attack range in a timely fashion, said weapon is useless. |
