I think the best to level a barb is blunt setup. Let me explain. SC and/or Ripost setup deals way to many dammage to level in group. Blunt offers good dmg, not too high for your team mate, and good defense against piercing dmg which is one of the most common dmg you will find in WZ.

@ striker, 3 SC's per fight? Have you ever "looked" how much dmg that is?

On a mage thats nearly certain death unless 2 of them mess up as least,

If you can land 3 Sc's on a Archer, then the archers doing something wrong :P

Even on my knight Sc hits very well most of the time, its impossibly annoying that Sc can do the same dmg in 1 hit it takes me to do in 3-4, You can be totaly owning a barb, but if they land a good Sc, its over most of the time.

SC overall should stay but the main thing is that mages and archers can cancel it simply by stepping to left/right or backward and warriors cant cancel it all, simply put to cast it on any non warrior class you must knock them down or immobalize them unless they are stuck in a casting animation

btw this is the same with all spells, archers can cancel mage spell by running behind them and same with archer spell against mages, but a warrior cannot in anyway cancel any spell except by running outside of its range and thats quite pointless given that they have to be close to attack

Yes, because it is 1 second casting time.
This is good - and required for balance.

What is not good is that 0 second casting time spells can also be canceled, which should not be possible.
This must be fixed.

A warrior can also cancel it, it's all about timing.
However, it's way easier for archers and mages.

Actually the best way to cancel South Cross ( or any warrior spell ) is to run backwards from your enemy.

I'd say best in group lvling is spears setup, but without ripost. Gutting is enaugh
and because of weapon range its easier to catch a mob before its killed by archers. By group lvling I mean smth like Rasius beach with 10+ ppl lvling.

Yes, but afaik it wont work if you play as a warrior.
