Pregunta rápida, quiero jugar un poco y me interesaria hacer un firewall + proxy con linux. Ahora la pregunta es que me convendria, Debian o BSD?.

por aquí estamos pasando de astaro (linux) a pfsense (freebsd).
Y tengo abierto el gráfico del tráfico (hasta salió con rima y todo) siempre porque se actualiza en tiempo real

Entonces me instalo un Freebsd y le cargo los paquetes del pfsense?.

no, pfsense es como una mini-distribución de freebsd preparada para router/fw. Tiene una interfaz web muy bonita para hacer todo a click de ratón.
Edit: como todas esas enlatadas, tené cuidado si lo vas a instalar en una computadora que ya tenga algo porque arrasa con todo

Hace de Router y Firewall, podre cargarle un Squid o algo parecido para que haga de proxy?.
