nah i dont thick SC should be changed at all.Its high alright but if your a mage or an archer youll always be the first to hit so youll have done more damage to the warrior than Sc will do before the warrior even comes to you.

I hate answers like these...Madness, and you'll reach your enemy no problem(unless mind pushed) knock down Sc, get up another Sc, balestrea SC..A well buffed barb will destroy an archer with two Scs, if they do there full dmg. One Sc can actualy kill a mage, again well buffed, and all the dmg. Of course theres little chance of this happening, but still doesnt change the fact that a barb can do 2k dmg with Sc on all classes.

Mages can do 2k dmg in one hit from afar? Name the spell. Golem fist on 5 does, on average, 600 dmg, 700-800 if you're lucky, on barbs (ok, maybe even 900 on barbs with all their points dedicated to dmg buffs and SC), and golem fist is the most dmging spell warlocks or any mages have. It has 3 seconds casting and 1 minute cooldown and costs about (meaning just over) 1/4 of a lvl 50 warlock's mana.

Mind push has a counter too - deafening roar. Yoseba uses lvl 1 feint too, which is the first spell in tactics and 4 seconds is more than enough time to get your 3k - 4k dmg hit off. If you don't have enough points for 9 in 2h mastery, then howl should be fine too.

hey yeah lets disable sc for barbs and knights, while were at it we can disable summons for conj, sotw for hunters, DS for marks, and sultar for locks. yeah what a great idea. the pupose of sc is to hit high, its very useful

Disable sotw for hunters - go right ahead, if you'd been paying attention 90% of the english community wants this.
Terror for locks - doesn't effect me much. I don't bother with it much when it's almost completely resisted due to protection dome and deflecting barrier.
Summons for conj - summons are hardly necessary for conjus above lvl 21, even for lvling. Below? Blaze, arcane missile and self heals should be fine, and then it's still easier to lvl than knights and marksmen.
DS for marks - 600 dmg medium speed normal hits is far too much with their defense. (Viper longbow with DS and hawk's gaze which apparently works with slow bows. If it's a good bow, like most viper lbs are, you could even get 700 and with df you could get 800.)

South cross is evil, its also useless depends on the time, yesterday an "easy" barb hit 1200 on my knight armour V.good vs slash and 1200~ Ap were?

A same lvled knight in the arena used Sc on me 4 times, he won, just. Second round I knew what was comeing and thus destroyed him, I had 2000~ HP left at the end of the fight, Knocks-Immobalize-Dizzy-Dispell-etc are all far more worth the point investment that South cross,

Allthough I do have it in on lvl 3 on my set-up for "special situations" (ie do or die so may as well try :P)

I am barb and I always complained about South Cross.
However - I never wanted it nerfed this much, because right now Slashing is only a worse variation of the Spear dicipline.

100% damage + 100% damage (50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% chance depending on lvl) and 20 seconds cooldown would have been enough.

Right now SC is just a slightly stronger version of Forceful Blow..

Which has A) Made it into a great skill and B) Like Znurre said, nerfed it more than we expected.

oh dear? Use a hammer or spear, in practice you will find the spells with effects far more fun than a pure damage spell like South cross,

And the day I see a barb complaining about conju spells is the day I stop healing them... mostly because I will be dead all the time...
