Who cares about items? Do you need those items to play the fucking game? That doesn't change the fact that in a few more days they will become prehistoric garbage. So move on and get with the times.

This is a standard procedure when level caps get raised in MMO's, but I guess for most of you this is "My first MMO". I could care less what they do, I'm getting more months of content (for free) and that's all that matters.

Yea ill admit the awesome gear that it took me two years to gather up will now be noob gear but come on you ALL know you cant wait to see what the new gear looks like.

Some questions for NGD:

- Will lvl 50ers keep their XP, would be stupid if we go grind now for the update and after find out we didn''t need to...

- How much do we have to grind to get lvl 60?

- What's gonna happen with the items (boss items, mag bow that is now lvl 45 would be even more worthless then it already is when it remains lvl 45)

- Name of the new currency

(Btw all the people that say hmpf they said they won''t raise lvl max to 55 they told you as it is, they didn't raise it to lvl 55 they raised it to lvl 60.)

Of course they have to generate income, of course there was no guarantee
current top gear would be useful forever, but it is equally absurd to think people would be delighted by these new changes. This reaction is totally understandable. I hope there will be enough new content to justify this level

If you want my opinion, I think people will whine now, then over time after the dust settles everyone will think in wonder "How would Regnum look without this update?".

History repeats itself. Perhaps it is too early as they have only briefly talked about the new content, but I am already happy with where I am standing.

You can look at it in a positive way. Most of the game and item imbalance will be purged, and people will need to begin collecting new items. I am not saying this will be easy, but 70% of the playerbase will be in the same situation, wheras normally there is a huge gap to jump if a new player wants to catch up to the top players, that is why cleaning once in a while hugely benefits the game. It also brings a breath of fresh air into the economy, as new items will circulate throughout the game. Additional, in theory, this also brings more balance to the game, but it is too early to talk about balance in my opinion.

I imagine all the gear fiends are gonna start there usual threats and protests against ximerm until they get what they want

I personally will end up enjoying it. If mob grinding is allowed to gain lvls I think it would be nice to see some old players grinding with eachother like how we use to back when Horus was first launched. Might just spark the noobies too follow our trend :P

Can NGD release how the new tree(s) will work? will it be joined per classes or different for all classes

Also maybe make the Thorkul Sword a big uber lvl 60 weapon? ;D

Still they are not clear and don't make clear what they want, what they do and what they want to do... This is a forum isn't it? Shouldn't be some more ''communication'' between players and the makers of this game.

If there is really nice new content, it would have been better, if they had
presented it already. Until now, we don´t really know. We only see the necessity to grind and that old gear will be mostly useless now.

I don´t believe we will have better balance immediately. Maybe after some new balance updates. But unfortunately this isn´t a fact either.
I will give the benefit of the doubt, at least until i know what the new content will be.

I read this thread today, after not seeing it for just 24h more or less, loads of whining about the lvl cap update, maybe we should wait to see what happens with items(boss and magna would be outdated, normal even worse), how they changed the xp curve, the xp you get from killing enemies, what the new currency is etc etc.....

An online game, especially a MMO, dies if there are no changes. You want ngd to stop updating and ONLY fix some bugs?? You wouldn't be playing regnum next year if theres nothing new.

and yes, I, too, have pretty nice gear on my char(s) on server Muspell, but do I dont whine about it? no, i look forward to the new things to come. because i still want to play regnum for a while, even though im already playing since closed beta in Germany (Sep. 2007).

btw, most ppl who complain before updates are gonna stay anyways. its been like this every damn time. BUT, u needa whine about it first! although you really might like it afterwards.
