Poll: opinions on the transfer idea.

I voted yes becouse i have three characters in Haven i want to transfer, but i'm not sure the terms are clear:

1) The first item says that the origin and destination server must match and there must be empty slots, HOWEVER, another item (don't remember wich) says that in the cases there are already characters in another realm in the destination server, these cases will be handlend personally by support.


So, my firs question is: ¿aren't this items mutually exclusive or i'm getting it wrong? In my case, I have 2 Ra characters in Alsius and 3 Haven characters in Syrtis. Can i have my 3 Syrtis Haven characters in Alsius Ra with the corresponding race change? Or this transfer is not possible?

Second question: Do i have to buy the 6 slot extender if this transfer is possible?

Don't think you'll be able to move characters across a realm. Otherwise there'd be no problems if you could since everyone would move to the realm of their choice.

Others have already asked the following questions, so I will just repeat them:

1. How are account with multiple characters in both server going to transfer? Are we going to have to buy slots or just won’t make it?
2. Are all boss items going to be account bounded? I see a point for boss jewelry, but I see no reason for that with other kinds of drops such as dragon armor parts.
3. In cases where one same account has character in different realms in Ra/Haven, is it possible that the player will have to choose to delete their Ra account in order to transfer the Haven ones?

Yes, that's true, but you'll have to delete your already existing characters and change realms. I mean, if there's a chance i can have my 2 wm characters in ra and my syrtis haven characters i'll take it.

The transfer algorithm should check first if the name is a dupe, and if not, accept it verbatim. Else, it should tag a random pronounceable 16+ character string on the end to ensure uniqueness; if that's a dupe (got to check), add another one.

Technically, if the transfer names are all predictable, someone could name a toon Bob (tyr) (Horus) (Haven) on RA, preventing transfer of Bob (tyr) (Horus)... just to spite someone specific.

Yea, crossing realms has been mentioned already as a no-go.

What they have mentioned is that Support might be able to shift your Haven toons to a new account with a different email address (Gmail is your friend, here).

They'll also know when you're multi-realming, btw.

And since soon with NGD means years (or never), i want to know if it is worth waiting something or just trash my characters. So when?

From what I can gather, the poll is intended to dot the last "i" and cross the last "t" before implementing a wholesale transfer of characters from Haven to other servers. Just to make sure there are no more "Gotchas".

From what I understand, the transfer algorithm is almost ready. Although the poll is going to go for some time, transfers could start fairly quickly.

Adrian worked through Christmas break to deploy the poll itself. so log on, take the poll. Tell them you want to transfer to RA. Or Valhalla.

Get your stuff out of your account slots, because those don't come with you.

I support what TheBarbarian said: a list of unique items will be very helpful, but at the same time, I think about how players will take advantage of such list... Idk, you do what you consider the best.
