I, being a Spanish-speaker, don't find it xenophobic at all. It's to keep the Spanish off the chat until English becomes the "mother tongue" of the server. It's just 2 months, nothing serious here... I'll pay you a visit from time to time to practice my english skills :P

I agree, it will not be the same experience as before if I were to make a new account on the new server, it is not the same Regnum that I know and play in often, I love the 'international' community. It's the only bad view I have on it.

Not only will this bring forth oodles of new players, but it will also give NGD the chance to earn some more money. We all know what that means-- efficiency.

Some people refuse to play Regnum Online because of the language barrier, and I cannot blame them. Regnum's community is quite close-knit, which makes it really hard to fit in in spite of speaking the same language or not.

Nobody's making none of you switch. It's just a wise move by NGD. The first one I've seen them make in a long time, actually.

From "Are you crazy? No I WON'T go to the new server!" To "Unless something something is done!" To "Hmm..... the new server seems to be a nice idea after all."

In time it will turn to "Come to the English server! It's Awesome!"

I have read the whole of this thread and i haven't noticed the 'evolution' you talk of.

As far as i can gather, many english speakers on Ra still want to transfer their chars across, and don't want to start from scratch on the new server...

The ONLY ones who would want to do that are

People whos char is lower that 30ish

People who want to try and "be the best" (wont be unless you but master scroll adn 200% boosts and are a barb/mage)

People who realy get some strange kick out of wanting to spend 100's of hours grinding again...

People who hate the holas hate their realm and hate well everyone and want to start over under a new name so as to lose the "hate" they have attatched to their name

Clearly NGD doesn't really care about the current veteran players. They are obviously willing to let us die out so that RA will become all spanish over time.

If they cared about the veteran players, they'd transfer our accounts to the new server, like WoW does ALL THE TIME.

I've already said our entire guild is not moving, but would have if migration was available.

I think this is a very foolish business decision on NGD's part, but hey, it's their money to lose.
