well, this sreenshoots show how much armor points actually help: southcross on lvl 50 knight with 2311 armor points: 2994 dmg http://regnum-forum.gamigo.de/attach...9&d=1215539210 southcross on lvl 50 knight with 0 armor points: 3195 dmg http://regnum-forum.gamigo.de/attach...0&d=1215539220 There is a rumor that all armor points above 1000 are useless becaue they don't have any or only very little impact on damage reduction. But this needs further testing I think.

However if i get hit with one while unbuffed they do more than double that amount, and i can't even imagine what one would do if i had no armor at all on. |

Besides, how useful will you be in the frontline if you just spent 600 MP (or around it if I can recall using HP 1 and Caution 3) on AP before you got there? My suggestion is, find yourself the best lvl of Caution + Armor Parts best suited for your lvl + passive weapon resistances + Deflect Projectiles (not to mention the mandatory Precise and Passive Block). Because what will eventually kill you cannot be saved by AoO, much less by AP: Balestra (followed by 5 warriors... or just 1 barb with a axe/sword on a bad blocking day), Ivy (same as balestra but you eat a fireball and a lightning as bonus), Disable Limb (warrior's death sentence), Evandim (protective buffs last 60sec, 30 to precise... that was the best minute after you eat an Evandim...), Ethereal (enough said, it's direct, it hurts and thanks Megrim for the blocks)... Save HP for 2 things, rushes and surviving them, not because of you, but for the barbs/MOD locks who (should) go behind you, and to raise everyone's chances of going through Terror/warrior areas if your group is targeted by them. But this is my opinion on the issue.
