Isn't this point moot? I mean... If you've sold your account, which is your only account, because you're a rule abiding person and only have one account, then what are they banning?

The stuff about only having one account was removed completely from the new EULA.

They ban for account sharing because it creates too many support issues that waste NGD's time. Personally, I would never share my account with anyone except my wife, not even friends because you don't know how much you can trust them.

Technically selling an account is an extension of sharing, because NGD can't know for sure you won't try to log into it again.

This is complete nonsense, Why ban people for selling their account? Horus already doesn't have that many players and instead of focussing on important business you perma-ban active users for this nonsense? Why does it bother NGD so much that people sometimes sell their account? In what way does this damage their company? If you take a close look at it it has only positive results also for NGD 1 unhappy player sells his account for a character that he wants very badly, what will this player do with the character he just bought? Lvl it, (boosters) the same counts for the other player. If NGD could only give a solid reason why selling accounts should be illegal.

Something that is not yours? For the hours you've spend leveling that character and all the money you've paid for it? How can it NOT be yours??

In the end, it's all data stored on NGD's server. If NGD somehow shut down, you don't get to keep your character. There's nothing you own in this game.

The terms of service were pointed out in the first post of this thread. There's nothing to argue here, you broke the rules and got banned. Even if you didn't read them, common sense says selling accounts will get you banned in pretty much any game.

And here it is again in the ToS:

Then again, he wasn't trying to sell it for money.. He wanted to TRADE the account for one of his chars. In my opinion those are 2 completely different things..

Name a game where the developer ALLOWS you to sell your account.

Regardless of whether you were selling or trading the account, it was exchanging hands to another person, and that's against the Terms of Service. You were banned for breaking the rules. It all boils down to the same thing.
