It doesn't matter exactly how they do it, but NGD can easily solve this huge problem by making it fun and rewarding to fight an overwhelming force. 90% if the time, fights are badly unbalanced and (only marginally) fun for one side. The game loses players from the weaker side and the problem gets worse. Make it fun to be the underdog and realm balance will fix itself.

The basic idea:

1. Change war confidence to test population every 15 minutes instead of once per week or whatever it is now.
2. Change war confidence to add something fun besides just a slight boost -- something proportional and useful for fighting zergs.

some ideas for #2:
a bonus area spell
a pet dragon
a huge health and damage bonus
temporary legendary equipment
all of the above and let each player choose

If done correctly, this should have no effect when populations are balanced.

Of course, this wouldn't balance things perfectly and sometimes too much advantage would go to the weaker realm, but this would be so much better than the current hopeless situation.

I'm going to make a ra character. Today was so frustrating as a player. It was my day off and it went from... morning of zerging where we had 50 ppl and the other realms had 5 each, to a complete zerg the other way.

Players have found out how to deal with this problem :v When Alsius is more than Ignis or Syrtis (or when they are even in number), there is alwas... ALWAS an alliance between Ignis and Syrtis... we call it GREEDS :V However, when Alsius is less than Ignis or Syrtis, no one ally with us In fact, both realms try to get into Alsius r.r I´m not complaining, it somehow makes me feel "better" not to let two realms take out our gems, even when they are like 20-30, and we only 10-15 :v It shouldn´t be like this, of course. No alliance should exists in a RvsR, but... since NGD doesn´t make that much to fix the problems, players do what they believe is covenient.

jk...stats can be misleading at times,your example is one of them.take out the months syrtis had wishes and they are in the same boat as ignis except they have a solid core of european based players logging in for 6 hours of the day.

My example said exactly why Syrtis are NOT in the same boat as Ignis... 10 wishes in one month by Syrtis, maybe how many Ignis has made in the last 10 or 11 months all together. ._.

If I had to chose for Ignis to have 10 wishes in the next month, or have some crappy 100% daily exp boost... Which one do you think I would take? Dragon wishes do more for a realm in general than just the small stats they raise on the characters that are involved.

something has to be done, for population, half of the players, r more excited to play 3 way fights at 1 fort for contineous 4-5 hours, specially in ignis......

What kind of issue you have with Syrtis by the way? Seeing your posts last year you clearly see Alsius "better in some way" than Syrtis.

And why do you count wishes in such small scope like one month? Especially, if Alsius wished over 150 wishes over less than year...and you're getting restless because Syrtis wished 10 wishes in one month and there is no sign it will continue like that. Get real.

Besides, I think realm bonus shouldn't be granted according to dragon wishes. This game needs players, not only Ignis or Syrtis, all realms on Haven need more players. But that's for longer discussion.

You know it's not true.

There are three realms for a reason, when one has too much, the other two teams up with each other.
I remember when Syrtis had the most, Alsius and Ignis made an alliance to try to take the glove on against them!

Multis "try" to do the job as well to balance out the population, but you know, I'm waiting for NGD to do drastic moves at last, something that makes realm numbers nearly equal, which would make the game ( especially small servers )more enjoy-able .

Oh, it IS true. I´m talking about the current situation. I know in the past there had beed alliance between Ignis-Alsius (can't remember if Alsius-Syrtis) but as I mentioned, currently no one wants Alsius Even multies come to Alsius chat to talk about how the realm in which they play now is better than Alsius (yes Tania, I'm talking about you :v )
