User ID i think is more based on when you sign up for a account.

Edge for example signed up in June 07 then maybe the other guy signed up before him, thus he gets a better user ID.

You can see your user-id in the bug-reporting form (if you ever have reported a bug). But this is the account id, maybe the rankings are ordered by char id. Anyway, it's most likely ordered by a numerical id.

actually this happened with me and backe if u look at the alturians in syrtis i am #10 and he's #14 even though he finished about 4 weeks before me it's funny

edit: and in the realm ranking im #25 and he aint even in there anymore strange
although im not complaining
