Okay, my suggestion is drop Gutsy as your OS and go to something like Arch Linux. I was an alpha and beta for Gutsy and there are several things wrong with this release of ubuntu. Biggest problem....it's heavily bloated. When you get Regnum working you'll find that your FPS SUX! I have officially dropped Ubuntu as my favorite release and have moved to Arch!!

well, Ubuntu is one of the most popular distros there and if I'll drop it many more won't.
it's not solution , we need (or the developers) to make it work under gibbon.

i had the same problem but you just have to try lunching it without 'MALLOC_CHECK_=0'. And when it will make error again, just repeat MALLOC_CHECK_=0 ./rolauncher . On my gutsy it works every time

Thanks for your willing to help me, but it doesn't work for me for some reason.
and it's just half of my problems as the time I did managed to execute the game I couldn't update (on both servers live and exp).

if you check the other thread about update stop, than you will find that i have the same problems but i have integrated nvidia card and 2 gb ram

when i had the problem, i first used in console MALLOCK_CHECK=0 ./rolauncher
and when it told me 'segmentation...' i used the valid command: 'MALLOC_CHECK_=0 ./rolauncher' and it went smooth.

ps: of course until it stopped on update screen

It did work once as I've said before, but it works no more.

Ok i did it. Even throught update... Try using MALLOC_CHECK_=0 ./rolauncher &
like tabris said in other thread.
