What's the point at installing Windows XP on a mac? I mean, MacOS seems to be far more stable and useful than XP. I'd install a Debian GNU/linux and run wine in case I need to run a win. app.

And regarding to the client... Surak, is it hard to port it? Linux and Macs are posix-compilant, both share libraries and stuff. Is it possible to release an alpha-untested version? Maybe players could help as betatesters.

It should not be hard, only a little portion of the code needs to be ported, the rest should compile as it is.

Yes I know, Mac = graphics and life, Windows = gaming... heh, thats how i allocate mine...... Macs is what i use in business stuff... But since windows have cheaper software, it nice to have both running around your computer... in my case. I remember when my windows crashed......I almost died lol....The problem is, you cant access your files in windows through mac...so its kinda bummer....But when the time comes that Microsoft actually takes over Mac, (i know they will :P) these problems will be solved

surak as suggested before i think you might be able to get some mac computers just say something to them along the lines of that you would like to make a client for mac but you need a mac computer and im sure you could offer to put a apple logo on the loading screen ive seen people have them before in other games just try it dude not alot can come bad from it

AFAIK, OS X is a forked FreeBSD, so making the right changes it should also work on *BSD

Wonder if opensolaris could run it.
