Xeph -- no you don't, personally I don't have any flash in my browser because I just can't stand that shit, but what you can do is apt-get install youtube-dl, then feed the url to that command, and afterwards you simply mplayer the flv.

PS: You can find the flv files on the /tmp folder when you're running the player... That made me save a lot of time instead of looking for downloaders
