Got my vote for that. The problem can be to find the group, but definetly XPing in group is the best.

Only advice i can think of if yr starting a new char is:

- Get all the low lvl quests out of the way first (you'll easily get to around lvl 16 before you need boosts.)

- If you lvl up and get a quest that involves killing unchallenging or hard mobs, save it till your boost runs out, or you'll waste booster time.

- When you get to around lvl 16 use only 50% boosts, as they are good enough for a few lvls.

- Try to get into lvling parties, coz the killing is almost non-stop, and you rarely need to rest. This helps prevent wasting booster time, beacuse the seconds tick after you kill a mob. If you're on yr own you'll have to rest more and when u rest after killing a mob the seconds tick away for a while.

Hope some of this helps...

5ppl group on challenging(solo) mobs today, area with lots of mobs, 4h of grinding, 2 boosters, 400ksomething xp today. about the 1/3 only due to 160+grp bonus. As conjurers were part of the party mana wasnt a problem, life neither because mobs do 1-2 steps and fall dead from all that ranged attacks.

Thanks everyone.

And wudy, no, I'm not starting now, I'm using them for my marksman, and if I have any xim left, I'll use them for my hunter too.

XP booster tip one: Find people, and train WITH them...

Interesting

Static_Fang,

Parties actually tend to slow me down, because I'm a Barbarian who kills in 2 hits (1 normal, 1 South Cross), which is simply a levelling speed that cannot really be matched by your average party.

No setup that a barb can come up with really works too well with parties either, because their base attack will always take away at least 40% of the mob's HP, and the only way they can level well in groups is to only hit the mob once and then turn or move away hoping the group will finish it off.

Marksmen and Warlocks can simply stop casting spells to stop damaging the mob too much.

There's also the fact that half the time the barb is running around like a loon just trying to hit ANY mob, but I think that's mostly because Syrtis has too many archers, since I don't have this problem with Knights.

Spiritual blow helps, but not alot. :/

Regards.

I guess it would be similar for Warlocks?

When I level with Meleager, a knight clan-mate, he knows he'd better not run to the mob right when I start attacking it. I hit it, he moves a bit towards it while I do the opposite of the archer-thing: I run forwards while shooting, so at some point we are both at melee range with the mob having taken around 2 shots from me, maybe with 1 spell piggybacked, but I usually leave the spells (shield piercing mostly) for when we're both at melee range. So we get almost 50/50 share of the damage this way.

It's a whole other deal when I'm in a lvling party with a conju and other archers. It's hell for warriors, and it goes pretty much as Katiechan described. The mob is down before the warrior is even halfway there, and when it's mostly marksmen, they're all standing around the conju to get mana from mana communion and shooting the mob from 30+ meters. With mana supply, this doesn't slow down, and it never gets better for the warrior.

The second version is what gets me the most XP over time, and since syrtis is mostly archers, those are mainly the kind of lvling parties you will run into. It's a tough deal for warriors in parties, so I guess it's logical that they benefit more from solo leveling with a full support conju.

I'm better as a solo trainer, but if theres 2 many parties for me 2 train solo i just go around hitting every mob i find once, and use a good area damage as they chase me XD

Terror+FB+Crystal blast is a good idea of what a warlock can do for killing mobs
