I can certainly understand. It must be a bit of a burn-out to uber-grind a hunter to level 50... twice. That's a lot of hours taken from things that can be more fulfilling in the real world, like hanging out with your family.
I went through a similar thing after getting my second character to level 50. The huge number of hours wasted killing cartoon bears and werewolves were hours I didn't have to spend with my family, or doing more constructive things. I ended up taking a week off, with no Regnum at all. After that, I started playing again, but only a couple hours a week. I am happy to say that my life has improved since nearly quitting Regnum. Like Comp, I also lost interest while watching the game deteriorate. I mean, now our characters can dance, whoopie... but what is there to celebrate when fort wars are a rarity? Castle wars NEVER happen. Because of bugs and game imbalance, nothing is left to do but hunt. <yawn> The big team-based fort wars were what made Regnum fun, and without them Regnum is just plain boring. I won't delete my characters, because maybe one day things will get fixed, but until then I won't be playing much, and I won't be buying any more Ximerin. Goodbye Comp and Wudy. I'm happy to hear you are both re-joining the real world, and I expect you will be wondering the same thing I have been lately: "Why did I waste so many hours in that silly game?" Best of luck to you both. |
