Hi AmayaRen,
Your problem is fully related to resource issues. As you have a Dial-Up connection and resources are a high load for that kind of Internet service, you will continue having problems until several megabytes of resources are downloaded. Also, you may have download timeouts and possibly resource file corruption. Before entering the game, please activate the "Download all resources at once" in the launcher options and be patient while they are being downloaded. Anyways, we always recommend a clean installation before this step. Regards,

I've tried both of those things before posting my Problems is there any other way to fix this because even though i have dial up downloading resources has not ever been a problem. It loads all of the resources, and begins to play the in game sound effects and stops there. It won't let me in game. Can you help me any more then that?

Did you try running the game as Administrator?

I have the exact same problem... I've installed the game, loaded the game, installed patches, and after a movie resembling the storyboards from the cybernetic ghost of christmas past from the future of aqua teen hunger force I am then stuck at a black screen with a cursor at 99%, 2 re-starts, unblocked, no problems with my computer, decent 3d videocard, windows XP, dsl connection. There has got to be a fix for this.

And are you guys sure there is no firewall activated or that the game has been properly configured in the firewall?
And is there a proxy active? I had a similar problem, but after disabling the proxy it was solved. On linux I had to do http_proxy="" ./rolauncher in my regnum-directory. Don't really know how to do it on windows, somewhere in the IP config thingie I assume. Or perhaps in the firewall somewhere.

Run the game in safe mode. This happened on my old laptop because the video card was average to say the least. It also reduces the number of game crashes (again video card is the culprit).

I am having a similar problem with RA on Linux
Horus and Amun are no problem, but RA just hangs at 77 of 78 sources. Tried to reinstall 2 times, no effect. Also no firewall firewall problems, my GFX card (Nvidia 7800 GTX) is not a problem either, my CPU's (dual Opteron 2800) are ok, my RAM (8192 MiB) should not be a problem either and my I-net connection cannot be a problem (100Mbit full duplex). *EDIT* Update all data at once hangs at 1422 of 1423 sources. Is there a solution for this problem? If I use strace -f ./rolauncher I get thousands (if not tens of thousands) of lines. I ran RO yesterday with it and went for dinner and after about half an hour it was still running, creating hundreds of lines a minutes Quote:
Nevertheless me is happy to be on RA again.
