I agree as well. The economy is really affecting my characters on the Horus server, I am poor.

Players that have less problems with this economy are those that have repair hammers unfortunately and dont "waste" as much gold as none-premium players.

The prices for arrows should really be dropped to compensate for the new economy, and the gold drops by mobs should be modified slightly in my opinion.

Not to mention the repair cost for archers and warriors and even mages is exagerated right now, maybe that also can use a
modification.

PD: I believe in NGD, and trust they know what they doing with the economy, so we will see as time passes.

Regards.

I THINK (this is just a wild guess and please read like it) NGD realized that there was too much gold on the game and gold was meaningless. They stated several times there will be more options to spend gold (horses, reset_power, etc) so they need to "normalize" de economy of the game.
This way they can adjust the prices of every new gold spend option. So gold prices would have a real cost and gold itself would have a meaning (more than just having millions saved).

I THINK (this is just a wild guess and please read like it) NGD will keep these economy changes until they decided there is the right amount of gold in game. And then MAYBE do some adjustments to keep the gold value controlled.

I am not against this or in favour, I just want the best for the game and I trust NGD know what they are doing. I do not have much gold, but since I have conjurers that spend little I can afford the needs of my other characters.

Your points may hold true on Ra, but not on Horus in which we've always been poor.

I am sorry if I can not write it more clearly or sometimes I can not fully understand the answers people give me, my English us very limited as you may see.

But I just want to make this clear: I am not saying this is good or bad.
I was just trying to explain what I GUESS it is the REASON of the changes and why I THINK this may not be an error but a change done and sustained on purpose by NGD.
Also, if I am right, why I think this economy is not going to change until NGD think the gold is working right (and that means lots of people lossing lots of gold ).

Since I can not play on Horus, I would not venture to make statements about that. So I remark that my 2 Archers and my Knight actually lose gold on lvling, but I am doing ok ONLY because I have a sponsor Conjurer for each (yes one Conjurer for each character). And of course this is not the way should be for everyone.

My concern is this:

At lvl 12 of 14 I really was in the middle of a money crunch. I worked my way out of it by carefully looking at which mobs give money etc.

Now at lvl 36 I have over 1.25 mil, so that that is doing pretty good. I'll take a small hit when I buy new armor one day (I'm still wearing lvl 32 armor).

My concern is at lvl 50 if I have a big bank roll, how long will it last me until I have to grind for money? If repairs are on the order of 40 or 60k or more how long will I have to put into just keeping up with that and will it be worth it?

Level 50 is hard. Even if leveling on aquantis everyday, it's really hard to not go bankrupt without selling items very expensively.

Since I only play warlock, I don't know gravely this affects every class. For mine, so far, it's tolerable. I don't repair much until I get one of my armors of staves totally damaged. Sometimes, when it gets to that part, I could be lucky enough to get a drop to replace it. Lucky are those that get good drops worth trading. Atleast they can get good money from that. But how about the unlucky ones?

Imagining on expanding time, I realise that we are the opposite of Cinderella. We came from rich rich rich to poor. Meanwhile, there are new comers to the game. If, and by the time NGD adjusts the economy to a more bountiful approach, the new comers would feel like Cinderella. But then they don't know how frustrated we feel now.

Maybe it's just a matter of adjustment.

Cuando la situacion se balancee naturalmente vamos a poder revisar realmente los precios de cosas tales como el equipamiento, las flechas y las reparaciones.
It means, more or less, that they want gold to be valuable (there is too much gold now) because content that needs gold is coming. Also says that if you don't have gold, ask for it to people who are in gold ranking.
Finally, he says they'll adjust prices when gold will be more balanced.

If you don't like it, you are not alone.

If he said that then... Way to go, Chilko. You can go and beg for money, none of us came in game to beg for money but enjoy in game. Its your fault that you dont know how to balance game but let gold be worthless for years and now trying to place some sudden strict ideas without even thinking about it. Just read what players are saying, current state of economy is terrible. Look how other games solved balanced economy. this is the first game where gold cheaters with bloodthirsty arrows kept fine amount of gold while others need to ask others, including cheaters, for money. This is sick.
Awesome, post, keep it going...
I d never expect sentence like that from NGD especially not from someone who is more than regular employee in team.
