Premium ads window to be removed

Well, it's not a big issue, it won't ruin my life (just lower my good experiences with Regnum a bit), but since it's already beeing discussed I'll share my thoughts:

In my experience most other software with similar pop-ups have a checkbox to disable the pop-up, i.e. "[x] Display this message on launch". So, according to this "convetion" there should be such a box. Also, I don't think anything should be forced upon anyone, hence a freedom of choice - a checkbox.

But then again: I'm used to the philosophy of many free software programs, where customization and the "if you don't want to be disturbed, you should not have to so I'll stay out of your way"-approach are important features. This might not be the primary concern for a company that develops proprietary software with the intention of a good profit, so my thoughts might just as well be ignored

I agree with you, but this annoys a lot of users, and that's exactly what you shouldn't do if you want to keep your customers, IMHO.

An option to disable the ad until new items are added or NGD adds a discount on the price would be perfect. I'd love to have a way to know something new was added, because I used to click on "no" all the time without really paying attention to the item.

No, no, that is what I said. The little offtopic you quote was to explain that I do not mind any extreme advertisement. I know sometimes I can not explain myself (even in Spanish) and since my English is very limited...
To the question of the pole: "Do you think the popup premium ads window should be remove ?" I answer I do not care. I do not mind (I hardly look at that window) and I read in the forums about any new premium item anyways.

But I think if this annoys some people they should be able to disable the window or some other solution. By the fact that I could not care less, I was not trying to say that no one should.

Sorry, I was going to reply specifically to the quote. I wouldn't mind that kind of advertising outside the game or in an In-Game BBS (which I'd love to have), but a writing in the Ignis wall would break the ambience. Though, if NGD needs it in order to make ends meet I'd gladly accept it.

Oh, and I wouldn't mind a Budweiser ad either. I'm not that fond of beer, but... Hey, your comment was cute. :P

The idea of the pop-up is to force you to buy premium content, not simply tell you what they're offering. By removing it or enabling the option to not have it show, then NGD are not doing their job. It's all about the money, people.

I agree, there should be an option for removing this popup, I was like "Oh advertisement of new premium, maybe if I click next next it won't show up next time" but it kept showing up again, and again, and again, I mean the popup does say "new premium items" and if the same items keeps popping up it just makes me wonder if they are stupid or something.

I think it would be a better idea not only to include new premium items but also the changelog upon every update, the FIRST time you log on with an account so you don't get spammed with the same old stuff each time.

I also think it's funny XD, but hey, if it gives then money I would stand in front of it and dance

YES! It's permanently 'hilited' which makes it appear similar to the other icons (spell book, character sheet, etc..) when they are open. The colorful premium icon catches my eye when I go to close one of the other windows and I'll occasionally open the premium window while trying to close an open window.

¿What is the first thing you do when you start playing? ¡Close that window without see what it says!. So, a bomb of publicity is never good if it means a polution for the eyes, doesn't do efect.
Making the Ximerin button shine would e a good option when they launch a new product.

Or perhaps but a banner in the part of the bar that is unused. sure the grey
bar looks nice but if they really want to do commercial that is the perfect place
to put a banner. No need to click away since no popup and easy way to have
item of the day commercial.

For people who've never purchased Xim, I think it should appear on every logon. However, for those of us who've spent money on the game, we should be given the option to switch it off and have it only reappear again to inform us wheneve new premium items become available.
