As I said in the Spanish forum, you take the cake with this one, NGD. I'm still skeptical, though. However, seeing as you deserved it, I did some publicity in the OnRPG forums. I hope it gets some attention there. I don't want to sound too happy, because this may just be a flop, but you just gave me my hope back. This might just be what I needed to come back.

The changes look quite amazing, and NGD is aware of the of many of the troubles of the gameplay itself and others.
The realm balance for example , but its getting each time more dificult to cross pp, yesturdays I count at least 30 alsius spread all over the zone.

Anyways Alsius people get extra gold for that condition of being less players, you can use that gold now for making better forts.And for sure if the extra XP is not good enought in long term, NGD will do something for sure about that.

Lets wait and enjoy the game.!!

LOL, Then you missed the part where if you take a fort that had improvements added you get the gold for the capture. So the truth is the most populated realm will get the gold bonus.

It looks very interesting.
I really hope this will change realm play style for good, the save to pp/pb and back or whatever was getting old and tedious.

In directly it may enhance realm balance, if the realm with most gems likely will be targeted by both remaining realms.
Forts that have been held for long time, may also be targeted by both realms and your own realm will be vulnerable at the same time.

My first impression is that it seems extremely hard to control all six gems.
Anyway I think Ingis will be first to do so, since both tactics and numbers seem to be vital for success.

Well this is certainly the most important part, lets just hope you got some of it sorted out and dont break something else doing so. ;-)
Hope you follow up and keep improving balance from now on, its been far too long since last time.

Keep up the good work, it be really nice to celebrate two years with regnum with this expansion of regnum online tomorrow.

Ink, don't take it so personal... At least they put the link, and you know it's better to have everything in a single place.

I'm too a little bit upset because of this, but it's not so bad. What really makes me angry is that there is not an official translation of this article in Spanish, so I did it in a very amateur way.

The changes sound really exciting and i look forward to them on the whole - especially the improved/fixed spells and the new items/loot.

Regarding the invasion: i apologise for my negativity. This too sounds cool and exciting. However, I am worried that the experience of invasion and the items gained from it will (often) be beyond the reach of Alsius players.

Not to be a party crasher, but a realist (not sure how long this message will remain online though). I guess I'll test the update in one or two months after NGD has fixed what they will break tomorrow .

I will also wait for feedback on the balancing, from the article I read "more item based", imo the "secret" is either items/PvE so doesn't interest me (if it's just for glory it would be nice but I know NGD isn't in that mindset).

I take it the realm unbalance won't be really addressed; that is easy. Allow realm transfers only to the least populated realm. That means keeping your char. But won't happen.

All-in-all I believe this update means more bugs for the short term, a new setup for the gameplay/balance but I doubt it will be balanced (NGD has proven unable to rebalance things, and it is very difficult even for MMO designers who actually focus on it so I don't think it will be better anytime soon), and it will further disrupt realm balance since some players will switch in order to take part in invasion (I don't think Alsius will be invading anyone anytime soon).

Still, this is a good step for the longer term if NGD keeps on working on more regular and lighter, incremental updates. You can't get it right in one time and I'm afraid this patch tries to do too much. Considering NGD's past record on updates, I don't expect much (except much of a complete wreck for some time and NGD working late and on week-ends ).

I hope it doesn't go like that, and that it proves to be as advertised. If so, I'm not sure congratulations are in order when I look how the game has been left dead for so long (I'm talking about the end-game and balance), but it might give the game a positive impulse.

As I said, I will be testing it after people break their teeth on it, and if it lives up to the self-advertisement on RPG Vault I will gladly change my mind about the current state of Regnum.
