Maybe Easter ? I remember an event on the WoW server I was playing for Easter. We all had to search Easter eggs and finds candy and items in it. It was pretty fun.

Hi

I don´t see the point. Some people said that will be better that NGD not make those special events?, why do they say that?.

I think that NGD, with this events, make another way to have fun in Regnum, and don´t have any complaint of it.

Besides, they are making a good job with the new animations, they look really great.

Regards.
PD: Oh captain, my captain..........

We could go into a total discussion about about Mithra (Xmas), Samhain (halloween) and the other "adopted" holidays, but I was not referring to a history lesson or theological discussions on the Western World. What I was getting at is that not everyone on an international level practices these events nor cares for them. Also after events are over any items you receive decrease your hp when you wear them so its like a punishment later for participation. Time spent on flashy new animations is time not devoted to other issues that actually effect game-play. I guess I will never know why ppl want mini games to take a break from a game, while still inside the game. I just log out and play other games at that time, support RO but also support other developers that make good games.

I agree with Paradox that short and long term goals need to have a unison, but if they are going to add content I would prefer it be RO related content.
Ink you forgot the new years patch where they added fireworks, big whoop.

the added fireworks had nothing to do with any event quest and would have been off topic, so were not mentioned

I don't see why I should get punished for wearing event hats. I gave up my armor points to wear it and I want to show it off. I had a booming hat sales business going until the -hp was initiated on the Santa hats. It was the only headgear a goat could wear ...oops back on topic. No negative health after you give up armor points to show some RO pride.

If you do not care for such holidays well no one is forcing you to participate in them. You are right however on the punishments for decreasing hp. I will not argue that point. My guess is that people want mini games in one big game so that they can have constant amounts of fun. Many level 50's stop playing because they have nothing left to do except capture and defend forts. So the mini games help entertain these individual therefore keeping players for NGD. Plus you never know, NGD might enjoy making these events and the developers need to make sure they are enjoying their game otherwise they will lose interest and Regnum Online could possibly come to a halt.

The fireworks were just some more fun for the players and caused extra revenue for a short staffed development team that, as NGD has said before, are spending more money on the game than they are making from it.

Capitalising on the RO events then eh..? How much gold did you make, like how much per hat ?

Doesnt this show much they love the game ? Sometimes(NGD) they get too much flack. I think the events are great (if sometimes frustrating !), its gets players and realms working together, whats wrong with a bit of fun.
