At the risk of agreeing with DemonMonger...........

Well, obviously a lot of people dont know as they repeat the same moronic mistakes over and over and over again. I dont care if they die from doing something dumb, but when it affects other people, it becomes an issue. Common sense fails oftentimes.

This works great, but only if the mages go in pairs with mana pylon and conjurers are not too far behind.

To the person that spoke about clans and war. My clan is flawless, we train constantly and our action in battle all take place on the non verbal level. We have obtained the pack of wolves mindset. I'm posting about what I saw this morning on RA. It was like a wild buffalo race when we got invaded. No one was in place to defend our gems, many people were still at the gate trying to buy or sell items.

Common sense to others makes no sense to most....
I bet you many people here wash the body of their car and then wash the windows with the same sponge without rinsing it or re dipping it (or they take it through an auto car wash!) (perhaps many are too young to even drive!!!). To me that is like washing your butt and then washing your face!

Yea you are taking a risk to agree with me.... stupid people run together and often flame more than the human torch. Most of what they add to the forums on peoples threads does not contribute to the overall theme of the original post.

Something needs to be done in order to assist people in learning realm tactics!
It has been this way since early 2007. Alas, back then we only had a handful of cud cows. Anyone that can offer advice for the moo moo's should do so!

being on horus, where there are lots more invasions than on ra, i think the best way is to just have every1 defend the gate... thats the most logical thing to do, if you have all your forces spread out... whatr u gona do? just makes it easy for a zerg to pick them out one by one.... if all comes to worse and your gate is broken, you have an in-realm save... still giving you a headstart over the invading realm to get to the gems, easy.

When you're more than the enemy, use your force by attacking several locations at once. When you're less, focus your forces at one point where the enemy has to pass, like the gate.

yes, and often when a realm manages to put another realms gates in danger (at least in horus) it is because the attacking realm clearly outnumbers the defending realm... as how else will a realm hold 2-3 forts/castle...

Invariably, EVERY SINGLE TIME we defend the gate there are always some idiots that want to go run and retake Imperia. WTF would you do that, it likely has a captain, and the half hour (maybe 20 mins) that you spend to get there, take it, and get back (with a large enough force to take out a GC) is easily enough time for an invading army to capitalize. If it were near the end of the countdown it may make some sense (though i thought that castle reverted to its owner realm when timer runs out), but not in the first 10-30 minutes of the gates being vuln.

During the event (last week) when syrtis had our gates in danger, we easily beat them back with less than half the numbers they had....just a few locks coming back from aggers save (after breaking syrtis gates) having an unhindered view and time to plan and communicate with inside forces was enough to fully route the invaders. Hell of a risk saving outside though when gates are vuln, but they had no idea that we were coming, or if they did, they thought we were not a threat. Hunters with rep shot are very effective at helping to break up a gate force.

I guess im sort of back on topic....Im also tired and drunk, so take what i said with that in mind
