In the week I played there Realm chat was very quiet, clan was quiet, and I was told not to ask about NPC locations etc in Clan/Realm because it distracts from the War (there was no war most of the time)

This was over half a year ago now though, So I hope things have changed, as said dont judge a realm on a few people, if we all judged Syrtis or Ignis on just certain people then we could make both realms look bad, but with certain other people can also make them look great.

That is really strange. Perhaps it was different for me as i dont spend very much time at all in realm chat; sometimes when there is little going on and i want action, and sometimes when im on my low level character. As klutu said, a lot of the noobs can be some real pricks, but once they either leave or get told whats up, it tends to be a lot better. I have talked to lots of people that said they joined from other realms that have had they exact same experience in other realms, and when they came here, everyone was nicer to them. So i suppose its all a matter of who is on and when.

One thing i have noticed on the 'experienced player' end of it is that a lot of noobs spam the same question like 50 times and never listen to your answer when you give them the link to wiki and tell them that it will answer pretty much every singe quest question you could hope to have. That kind of annoys me. Come to think of it, most of the people that annoy me in this realm tend to be low levels; they want help now, and if you dont give it to them RIGHT NOW, they turn into some real assholes, no matter if you are busy defending the realm gate or <whatever>.

Threads like this imo is just bs and drags the rest off us in the dirt. In my clan
we try to be friendly and answer questions as soon as we can. And i allways
answer questions when ppl ask me. But what piss me off is experienced
players starting threads like this and say "Buhu i logged in and a 14 year old
kid was rude to me" and paint up the picture that everyone is like that. And
every server in every mmorpg has a douche that shouts out loud and clear
just because he wants attention. So if you decide to tranfer i will treat you
friendly and whit respect, and if you dont tranfer well nothing more to say.
But comon starting lame threads like this is just as bad as the persone that
were rude to you for no reason, whit this thread you say that the entire realm
is rude idiots.

Realm chat is hit and miss in every realm... I rarely listen to realm chat.

Pick a good clan and you will never need to go to realm chat, except for some laughs...

I get the same, Once told some guy the same thing in about 5 differant ways as he asked the same question over and over over about 3 hours...

How we are supposed to do that? How do you do that on RA? Who really has an attitude here? NGD didn't implement /ignore on RA?

If you seriously want to play on Horus/Alsius, have someone to talk to, and find good fights, just join a good clan. There are many. Park a char at agg save. Talk to players there.

The only way to build tactics and coordination in RO is to build personal relationships with individual players. Discuss tactics and strategy during quiet times. Your character will transfer from RA, but your respect and personal relationships wont. You'll have to build those again. If your a good player (Comp, Enio, etc) you'll quickly fit into our playing style and earn a great deal of respect.

It won't happen in 5 minutes.

Wow, so nice to see so many alsius players replying here. Shame none of you guys were online when I was, I forget how many times i logged my other alsius char in and never got a reply...

Many have said they try to check it, or help etc etc - i have logged in many times and had no such responces from anyone. Have fun being alsius I know not all are pricks and most are nice, but I will not move any chars to a realm that is in the state I seen alsius Horus to be in.

No harm or flame thread intended, just pointing out that as a whole a bad experence is given to what would seem new players, enough to turn away someone who even knows what the end game is like

This is true. When Enio and Comp moved to Horus i was told they are good players from Ra. I know many including me that sayed - heh the noobs from Ra come to play with us lets pwn them. After some time they earned my respect as a players and as a people.

If i think for the time i play Regnum most of the "enemies" that i have great respect are from Alsius. If i have to switch realm i will go to Alsius for sure.

So please do not judge whole realm by the main chat which is mostly spam and trolling as it is in Syrtis. Goats are very nice people and very good players which is always pleasure to play against.

I do not know all - most of Alsius i know from IRC are very kind. Other like Kazan several times showed me respect and not killed me when i was grinding my conju and was at low HP.

Well the high lvl players that are in the realm arnt always gonna be stalking the Realm chat to help new players but i have seen many times that if any of them are in the chat they will help out and give directions to areas.
when i first joined Alsius i was lost completely and if kyro wasnt online (he's a Alsius Map Maker i swear) i had a few who would help me Stary Kapec Eric Onteron Enio Comp Arcan and a Others. but theres not always gonna be someone to be there to help you. Like Many Others Said if you want Comunication join a Clan.

i change my Previous Post im not gonna bend over backwards for Ra players that are gonna judge a Alsius/Horus by 1 or 2 kids in chat or a lack of people to help and then post a Review on the Forums.
