I have low FPS since 1.0.8 update. I do some tests in Horus. If i play at 1024x768x16 Low Details, Particles and Lightning On, i get around 15 FPS. If i change to 1024x768x32 Low Details, Particles and Lightning On, FPS are normal - around 60 like in 1.0.7

There is something connected with colour depth, but i do not know what. I can post xorg.conf or other configuration files if needed.

OS is Debian Lenny, NVIDIA 7300GT, driver 185.18.36
Pentium 4 3Ghz, 1GB RAM

hi,

same problem here but without using a dualcore pc.

since the last update to 1.0.8 regnum is very laggy on my linux-system (dont know if its a problem on win).
fps go down to 11-12 in battels (old version 20-22). the whole gameplay is not so "smooth" since the last update.

one clan-member runs regnum on linux (archlinux) to - he told me that he has the same problem - even when he play the game in safemode.

i play the game on server nifelheim
my system:

hw: amd 3000+ ,nvidia geforce 6800gt, 1000mb ram
sw: suse 11.1

ps: thanks to ngd that you support linux - for that i love you

Same here. Very low fps in linux. I even dusted of an old windows xp partition to test and then I get anywhere between 40 and 60 fps, while in linux I'm stuck between 12 and 25 fps.

Specs (plz don't laugh too hard):
Althlon XP 1700+
Nividia 6200, 256mb
1 gig Ram
Kernels 2.6.28 and 2.6.30
Nvidia driver 185.x.x

not game developers - I'm one that is probably out until I hear of a some kind of fix from someone as this one didn't help me.

I've had to play on low settings ever since update 1.0.6.
(Also have dual cores @ 2.00 Ghz, nVidia 9200, and 2GB RAM)
I used to be able to record full scale videos too, but it's impossible since Regnum eats the CPU's completely, its really funny how I can play other games with seriously higher graphics with more FPS and detail then Regnum.

this does not work for me... no difference between 16 or 32 colordepth.

still have these laggs. i dont fell a fluid gameplay like ngd wrote it in the changelog.

plz NGD look for this problem and fix it!

i heard from many linux-users that they have this performance-problem and they cant play the game anymore.

i changed the resolution from 1024*768 to 832*624, and got same results in horus (32bit depth), later i went and tried some paint in anum and noticed i get 60fps and much lower cpu usage in anum, how come this is so? maybe something to look into?
