I was near lvl 28 when I did my first unexpected trip in WZ, I killed the fire pendant but I saw a glowing light near, I double click on it *poof* I'm teleported. I look at the map "damn, it will take so long to get back to home..." so I prefered to visit the world. I visited alga, then pp2, then I tried to enter to trelle but I got 2-shooted by the guards.

When I first started regnum (around beta time - shortly after), I went to fight near Meni with a group of people. First time in the warzone and I knew NOTHING. I saw a "red" and attacked him...but it was that weaponsmith that sits on the hill outside of meni - at any rate - he kicked my ass.
I didn't come back out until I was almost 50

Shining-Scias proclaims himself the Worst Conjurer Ever. This post may wrest that honor from his grasp, or at least estabish myself as the Worst Conjurer in Alsius/Horus. See if you agree:
== Introduction == I was probably level 35 or 36 when this happened, still pretty noobish, and only recently having soloed the Fire Pendant Holder was feeling pretty full of myself. I was near Hopstad, slapping around daggerfangs with Rocky (my rock golem - why can't we name summons? hunters get to name pets!) when a message shows up on realm chat. Somebody needed help with the Fire Pendant Holder! Cool - I'm nearby, FPH is no match for the likes of me, and I'm ever so helpful! omw. == Meet Dude == So I get near the fire altar and here's this dude... (I'm calling him Dude, not because that's his name, but because I don't remember his name, and even if I did, he might be desperately trying to forget this ever happened. Anyway, there are people in-realm with 'Dude' in their names - 'Dude with a stick' and 'Mr. Dude' come to mind, but it was neither of them. Just to make that clear.) He was a marks, I think, may have been a hunter, but I don't remember a pet. Anyway... We switch to General, to avoid forcing the entire realm tune in on our little adventure. I'm kinda modest that way. Me: "HiImGythaAndImAConjAndFPHWontBeAProblemIllKeepYou HealedAndGiveYouManaYouJustFightHimIfYouNeedRocky( ThatsMyRockTrollWhyCantWeNameSummonsHuntersGetToNa mePets)AnywayIfYouNeedRockyToHelpLetMeKnowOtherwis eIllJustSupportItMightTakeAWhileNoProblemWellGetTh isDone" At this point my left lung collapses so the Dude manages to get a word in edgewise: Dude: "Yeah, uh, swell, the thing is, he's stuck." I haven't seen FPH up to this point, so I look around. And around some more. Finally, up. There he is, half-way up the mountain, bashing his head on the mountainside. Wham! Wham! Wham! Dude: "I've been trying to target him." He tries some more, (Wham!) I try with my staff (yeah, I'll out-reach a marksman, like I said, still noobish), (Wham! Wham!) I tried sending Rocky up there, we tried going up a less-steep spot and shinnying sideways toward him. Nothing worked. (Wham! Wham! Wham!) Finally, I came up with The Cunning Plan. Me: "Okay, let's try this. I'll go up to the top of the mountain, and start sliding down. When I see FPH, I'll click on him to target him, and get a shot off. Then, he'll chase me down the mountain, and we can fight him." Dude: "Okay, it's worth a try." == Pride and Precipice == What A Smart Conj Would Do: A smart conj would take a reading of the coordinates below the FPH, to make sure they knew exactly where to start their slide down. At least, that's what I assume a smart conj would do, sadly, there were none available for this venture. What I Did: So I run back toward Hop to find a passable slope up the mountain range, then up into the peaks, and find the one that I'm pretty darn sure has an FPH with a headache about halfway down. Me: "Okay, Dude, I'm starting down!" No response. Guess he's speechless in awe of my brilliance... Me: "LEEROY JEEEENKIIIIIINS!!!" I start barreling down the mountainside, Rocky avalanching along beside me. A few seconds later I notice what's not below me. The FPH. The Fire Altar. Spiders. Dude. And then I notice what IS below me. The sea. == Between a Rock and a Wet Place == So here I am, on a steep slope, no ledges or paths in sight, just steepness to the left of me, steepness to the right, here I am, stuck in the middle with...nobody. Me: "Dude. I kinda went down the wrong mountain, I think. I'll try to get back there, but there's no path." Me: "Dude?" So I try to walk to the side. Step...slip...step...slip... A clue briefly flutters into my pea-sized brain. I'm gonna die. Oh, man, I couldn't help with the FPH, I'm stuck on a mountain, and Dude won't even talk to me anymore. I must be the worst conj that ever lived. Me: "Dude, I'm slipping into the ocean, I think I'm going to drown." No response. Well, FINE! I TRY to help, get myself KILLED trying to help, and HE can't even be bothered to even say "Too bad. Thanks for trying"?! I hope FPH comes down and takes out his migraine on YOU, pal! Me: "Hello? Anybody?" Step...slip...splash. O2: [=====] Dammit. O2: [===] I'm dying and nobody cares. Nobody will even talk to me. O2: [] == Awakenings == I rez at Hop save, and start scurrying back to the Fire Altar. When I get there, Dude is gone. Only the FPH remains, still maintaing his attack on the solid rock of the mountain. Trying to gain access to... what? A diamond the size of an ostrich egg? A long-lost lover, trapped in the mountain by an evil sorceror? An aspirin? I notice that nobody's said anything in chat for a long time. Not to anybody. Not a word. Crap! I'm still on General! There's no way Dude could have heard anything I've said since I headed up the mountain. He probably thought I abandoned HIM! I added him to my friends list, and he wasn't online. Maybe he rage-quit, cursing what a big jerk I was. Maybe he started leveling a character in Ignis, where he heard they have conjs that don't promise to help then run away never to be seen again. Maybe he died of old age, waiting for me. I hope he came back and got the FPH one day. Anyway, that's my story. All of it is true, except for the parts that didn't happen that way. So, Scias, it's on. Do you have a tale that can beat that? Or are you willing to admit that I, not you, deserve the title Worst Conjurer Ever? What say you? |

Another noob story. When I first started playing I didn't know where anything was. The mainchat suggested I download the map off a website which had all the names of places. Awesome!! Sometime later there was a gathering for Vesper. Cool I thought why not see what a dragon does. So I run into the valley and I don't see a Dragon but I can hear fighting sounds. I stop and consult my maps while I'm still running. I had the main map up [over the playing screen] and my gif map partially open and I ran around the valley where "the superboss symbol was". I wasn't paying attention to the actually game as I was running around looking at the arrow on the mini-map, my game lagged then I died. I respawn back to my save and looked at my log. Vesper hits you for XXXX damage. |

There are also things that took me AGES to realize. Some examples:
- It took me more than a year (!) to find out that you can tell dead allies from dead enemies. (And I didn't even find it out myself, I was told :P ) - Took me several weeks or even months to find the map - Took me 2,5 years to realize there is a tree just in front of samal o.O (Some guy cancelled a spell by running behind it and i was like wtf) - Took me about 2 years to find out that there's an online timer that tells you how long you've been online already ^^ There's one more thing that took me a really long time, too, and it was the most embarassing of all but can't remember right now

- took me over a year to find out you can drag items to spellbar
And, when I first heard about "graduation" I thought it meant reaching level 10, I'm glad I didn't brag about it back then

Oooh and the noobiest nooby story of all is how I graduated.
I spent the time at 49 at meleketi beach, getting closer and closer to lvl 50. I didn't want to level up yet as I would have liked to do that together with my clan mates. But somehow I couldn't stop grinding and I got very close to level 50, I only needed like 2k more. Then I went to war until I found an opportunity to graduate. But as it happened, I never found a moment in which many clan members were online and several times I got a few XP during a hunt (areas, etc.) Until I needed 49 more XP for lvl 50 I told myself I would not attack ANY mob at any cost. But one day... I was running from CS (at oasis back then) to Samal and I saw a lvl 42ish guy being killed by a gol-tar. Heroish as I am I wanted to help him, the gol-tar was unchallenging. I gave him mana and staff-hit the gol-tar and already thinking about a completely different thing I went on running to samal. And suddenly there was this light column around me, it was so familiar and yet I was so confused at first, when I actually realized what had just happened it was already gone and I was like... Oh.. I'm lvl 50... DARNIT. NOBODY was around, not a single player saw me level up I ran to samal and said OMGOMG I LEVELLED UP I'M 50 NOW!! And there were a couple of holas looking at me like wtf. Yeah. That's the exciting story of my amazing graduation...
