I bring some news (only about the capital city, where my house is at). The water is rising, reaching record of 7,75m of depth - the danger level is 6,50, maximum bank reach is 8,00 m.
We're hoping the water level will drop, because if it will be like that for more than 1 day, the banks can break and flood 1/3 of the biggest, most filled with people city of Poland. It's the biggest flood of all time, possibly, we were prepared for huge amounts of water, but this is enormous. It wasn't just raining for two weeks nonstop - we had nonstop storms, and all the water is rushing through our country like a sea full of bacteria. We are organized and there's not much hysteria or deaths, but still I hope other countries can help us and support with pumps /o\ My family is packed and ready for evacuation, I'll let you know. I appreciate all the support from you guys, specially my friends, cause I'm a really nervous wreck right now, including my exams and cancer of my dog. I'd love to, please, not hear any jokes, as, it's a bit too soon, specially if I can lose everything I ever had in one night.

And another precipitation peek is expected for the 24-25th /o\ I've read that UE have already activated the civil protection system and that first helps are in place, but what does that mean in reality ? Are there some people helping with evacuation ? Are they trying to consolidate the dikes ? Or are they just here for observation :/ ? Oh dude, keep in touch to tell us how the situation evolutes ! :S

We (as polish people) are organized and prepared, but it's hard to save everybody when something suddenly strikes. We for sure received some pumps from Germany, we need water and food and shelters, but government can take care of that. We're not a third world country, we help each other.
But there are also people who use this "oportunity" and steal what's left from the flooded houses. Well, typical, for every nation in the world.

I might find my house in Warsaw tomorrow washed with flood. Keep the thumbs crossed for the river banks, I hope my family will make it on time in case something happens. In this case, I might dissappear from forums for quite a time cause I will be busy helping them.
