this is a very good idea indeed, i hope this can be copied by other realms in alsius to get alsius back on tracks, this is realy one of the best idea's of coping realm inbalance so far, maybe it's non of your business but i think it will help.

Its good that you guys are tring to help Alsius and get the realm back on track.
But I have one, serious question,
Why cant it be one clan? Or in other words why do you need two clans?

Won't work. I can guarantee it. Mark my words, write this down, take a screenshot. All that will happen is to create animosity towards people who are in the "real" clan. I promise it happened, we tried it , it doesn't work.

Aside from that, Altara makes a good point, why two clans? Tired of alts and noobs dragging your RP ratio down?

We want 1 clan to be ready to war - people who are online in that clan we know what they are looking for

The other clans more Relaxed and user friendly - People can grind in peace

@ vyth it has worked in the past & we don't care about rp count

Okay allow me to express some views

1. All of these new players in this lower level clan, most will probably be new to RO wont know any of the mechanics, or how RO works. Being in a different clan and a separate chat, who will they ask? and since they are in a different clan, they wont have a list of people in the higher level clan, if say they only had Compost Klutu and Jippy on their friends list, they need help but no one in the new clan knows how to help them. sure they could ask realm chat but you cant ask realm chat about tactics which brings me to the next point.

2. Tactics, we all have them all are different but we all have specific ones we follow. Like kill the conju. To make a Syrtis hunter run kill the pet, Don't upgrade a fort if you want a real fight, little things like that, we all know. Except the new players. I don't know for sure, but I would hope you guys talk about thing like that in your waring clan. And instead of making the mistakes they could learn just by watching you chat.

3. Who is in charge of this new clan? As in, who created it? I have nothing really to state here just a question on who is willing to do it. But like Vyth said, and as I said when you "remade" it only sound like you're trying to keep the RP to member ratio.
I see no legit reason it cant be one clan.

We have an active forum, an IRC channel, all of our active members and leaders will have alts in AoA... we'll see how it goes.

I'm 100% behind this idea.

Actually if you think about it, those so called noobs also have RP, and at most they bring us up in the rankings, not down, so getting rid of them wouldn't help in that.

We're not trying to split the clan, we're trying to bring everyone together in what is Ascendancy's mentality: WAR. By having new, lower-level members join AoA, they will be surrounded by this from day 1, instead of getting dragged into what seems to be Alsius state-of-mind atm: afk, grind, refuse to fight.

*Might* not work, but it's definitely worth a try.

I'll try to answer all your concerns...because they are well communicated.

We have many current Ascendancy members who are grinding alternates in the new clan. Most of these members (including myself) are lvl 50 and been around the block a few times. As far as communication goes, we have an active clan IRC where most of us are in all the time and we have a very active forum now. On this forum will be instructional information, links, discussions, etc.

Our waring clan talks about this yes, but we cut down on the chatter for war by splitting the two. Now the "war" clan has the chat explicitly for communicating in war. Granted Mumble would be great; however, some of us can't use mumble when we play (example - me, I have to listen for the kids if they wake up and if at work during lunch to answer phone, etc). Tactics will be taught in event format where we'll take the new clan (once it is well established) out on hunts, open field fights, and fort wars with us.

The same leadership of Ascendancy is in charge of AoA. Since we all have alts that we grind also this works out well and fine. As for the "rp" - uh...it's useless to even bring it up. I have the most RP in Alsius at the moment...and I would give it all up if I could do something with it. RP means nothing to our clan...reset all of our RP to zero...we won't care. Our goal here is to:

1) Help those grinding do it faster and train them a bit in war
2) Have a clan that is well trained together, knowns each other's tactics and operates quickly and efficiently.

In the end...will this work? I hope so - I'm optimistic about it. I'd really like to see Alsius get alot better, get a kick in the pants for thirsting to war, and all out have fun...even if your grinding. If this doesn't work...nothing is lost but Ascendancy's time and effort. We are doing this....I am taking time out to offer up services to support grinders (as is everyone else in the clan).

So, rather than think Ill of us and assume the worst, try to think positive.

Actually I said ratio, as in RP per capita. While true, these newbs will more than likely have RP, it will lower the average. Let's let Mr. Mathematics help us demonstrate this:

Assume the following;
x = number of people in a clan
y = rp each member contributes
t = total clan rp

x*y=t

K, now let's run this to it's logical conclusion;

t/x=y

Now add a newb;

(x+1)*(y+</=0)=t

but if you run that to it's logical conclusion we find that

t/x=y but that this "new" y is less than the original, meaning that the RP per member has gone down.
