Nope, performance seems to be the same as it was, though I could swear with Safe Mode I had more fps when there was no forced Vista Mode.
Or maybe Safe Mode always sucked and I didn't notice a thing.

Anyway, I tried to reproduce that stash bug and I didn't lose any items, so good job on that too.

I still crash (nearly) as much as before the patch. (ubuntu linux/x86_64)

I have a hunch "weapon trails" is the culprit, but in my launcher there is no option to turn it off. Is this option just available for windows/directx users? I tried to disable particle FX, but weapon trails still show.

-- edit: --

I disabled weapon trails via game.cfg [vg_enable_trail=0] (still don't know why it doesn't show in the launcher), and I haven't crashed since. So yeah, weapon trails definitely is something that makes people crash alot.

Very interesting on both the missing trails option (I must admit, im not sure if this is an openGL related option or just Linux) and the crash. Please, send at least one crash related to the trails so we can take a peek at that.

OT, but sending a crash report doesn´t work for me for a long time. They send 10% data and then there is still standing and do nothing (for over 10 minutes). So i cancel sending a crash report.

I think it's pretty hard to tell if a particular crash is trail-related or not. I just noticed that I happen to crash a lot more in fights than when everything is quiet. But then that might have a lot of other reasons as well. On the other hand, I have never crashed while ginding a warrior myself, so maybe it's not the basic trail but related to the special effects. Anyway, I have sent all crash reports in the past, but I'm not sure if they are helpful in this regard.

Regards,
I sent one crash backtrace to support@ngdstudios.com.ar, i hope this is the right adress?

About the missing option, I noticed that the "rolauncher" executable on my installation has not been updated since 2010-03-04, so it seems the autopatcher have failed updating this particular file for some reason (All the data*.sdb files seem up to date with recent 2010-06-* dates).
Probably this is why i lack the option to disable weapon trails.

Indeed, we are working on a solution for this.

Crashes are helpful even if they are not checked individually, since they give us useful statistics about overall stability. Of course, our main objective is to get this number as close to zero as possible, which is certainly very difficult because there is always one driver version, one obscure hardware configuration, one weird software setup, that makes the game crash unexpectedly. But at least, we can always fix the ones that fall under our domain (that is, the game and game engine).

Regards,
