yeah cast speed/attack speed stuff isn't good anymore either.

It's easy to say that "yes yes nerf items, they gave too much xxxx for users" IF they haven't used any money by themselves. Everybody had chance to buy xim stuff, so it's not our fault if we the buyers got some good stuff from boxes.

As I mainly play marks now, I can say that without those 200-300k xim spend in boxes I would not play it. BECAUSE class is so limited by mana so only "fun" option to me is using normals and it doesn't work if I hit less than mage with normal staff.

Instead of nerfing items that we paid for, why not increase magical/epic non-boss drop rate in boss fights or something like that.

If they continue to nerf stuff that we paid for, there is bigger chance to lose paying customers, because many can feel that they got scammed and now have items that does about nothing better than some crappy special items that everybody can "easily" get.

And IMO only items that gave some balance problems were dudes with dragon ammy+boss ring(s), and even those weren't that OP. I never had really big problems against them, just had to play more smart than against dudes with "normal" gear

lol guys, stay calm. It's not only the items you paid for that got their damage boni reduced. It's ALL (weapon) damage boni that got reduced, so in comparison to other weapons without the gems or to the non-bought weapons they're still better. so don't whine about this so much, PLEASE.

It's not only the xim-users who got their damage reduced!

Ice,is better i don't tell you how many real money i spent for xim.
I got a slow bow on my marks that is OP in Horus, while in Amun do only 25 dmg more than a medium bow....
I done the impossible in horus to have that bow and i had it just few weeks agò.
On taras my hunter i traded Vesper items to have gems(that now sucks) and hammer for barb.
I like the new update really much now,but if i think the money i have spent, and the time i have lost to grind, and the boss item i have treaded to have slow weapon,i feel bad.
Yes this things make me a bit depressed.
You(as NGD stuff) can't ignore that, sympli becase at first this game was a items based...can you say it was not?
Take for expamle a marks that got daen rha bow and make him fight on horus with who got a normal bow....who will win??(If the guys got the normal bow is not seriusly retardet he will win...and sorry for the retarded^^).
Well with the bow i've buyed on my marks i do only 10 dmg less than the daen rha bow.
For you,by the way i spent money to soket it,by the way i spent money to trade ximerin's epic items to have that bow,how can i feel?!
The bow is just an example.
Take my eve hammer,i sokted it with a +7% attak speed gems...
Well, money for gems(more than 1 luky box because lot luky box as usual give not a great gem),and money for the soket...
Same for my conju, for my lock, for my knight and for my hunter.
The game will be fun now,but i feel depressed and think that i still can have in my poket that BIG ammount of money if i know that slow items became crappy.

It was not, at first at least

Way back NGD claimed 'Premium will never effect RvR' that got bent a bit with mounts, lucky box's, gems etc but a lot of those end up being traded to players who dont use xim, so its alright. And NGD have to pay the bills somehow

It just gradually got more item based as they introduced increasingly powerfull weapons and methods to enhance them.

For balance sake its worth at least trying to tone down the effects of super gear, but I think this may effect lucky box/gem pot sales, so more control over the type of item you get would be nice.

Though I have used a couple of box's I was never a fan of them, or pots, since you just dont know what your paying for, most of the money I spent on the game went on mounts, boosters, item fusions and paint.

If it backfires horribly then no doubt gear will be changed to have more impact again, I would rather a couple of players are 'overpowered' by their items than NGD get left unable to pay their way.

As far as i know NGD always said that premium items should not give you an advantage in pvp/rvr, they should save you time.
Boosters - less grinding time
horses - less running time
boxes - less farming time
...
The only thing that doesnt really fit in there are sockets, its possible to loot epic weapons with a socket but boss weapons (some are the best available) cannot be lootet with socket, must be bought. Hopefully theyll care about that later.
You could have expected that NGD will care about this imbalance. The sockets i bought to put gems in my weapons will have a much lower effect now but i totally agree with it.

imo platinum boxes are a good thing. if we didnt have them available to us, most of our players would be farming inner beach all day and never step into the warzone. it simply provides us with a fast alternative to farming. theres nothing you can get from a platinum box that you cant get from a mob, its just a whole lot faster to go the premium route.

out of the 20 or so platinum boxes ive purchased ive only received two or three usuable weapons and one that i can call overpowered. the rest was utter crap, which is okay because its a gamble that you're made aware of when purchasing it.

what im saying is that, the way i see it premium boxes does not create an imbalance, just like boosters it puts you into the action faster and prevents players from excessive farming/magna hunting/trade spamming all day instead of going to war.

Caveat emptor.

Unfortunately, this is what tends to happen with a game that still exists in a quasi-beta state.

I knew this going in so I am not perturbed. If the customers believe that this is the last monumental change to the game, please do not set yourselves up for disappointment. Personally, I see at least one area that will require a retooling sooner or later much to the angst of the community. Don't say I didn't warn.

Artec.

Is being overpowered really worth more to you than having fun playing a game? I don't get it. It's like hackers (and trolltard hunters) – the rules and restrictions are there not because the game's creator is a control freak, but so that you, the player, can have fun. OP items is not fun.

you know whats also not fun, spendig money on something that, wthout any prior warning was made less valuable... thats not fun and in a real market would be illegal. also people like OP items because they are fun, they dnt make you comepletly OP to the point of hacking, but whats the fun in being like everyone else?
