Running Gentoo Linux unstable (~amd64) with latest NVidia drivers .

So it seems this happens on all x64 architectures?

I suspect LoD b0rkedness, irrelevant to x64/i386.

I have the same problem using nvidia 173xx series drivers, latest. Archlinux 32bit
