Ultimately you're the one to decide if switching from wow to here is worth it. Personally, I would encourage you to at least give regnum a fair trial. As you've read, the pvp is far superior here. Unlike having to wait for wg to begin, people in regnum work with each other to plan fort captures, castle raids, and realm invasions. The schedule is decided by the people involved, not by a timer.

I played regnum for six months and for reasons that were less about the game and more about people I met in it, I left regnum for wow. Spent the last two years playing wow, and loving it. I always thought fondly of regnum, but wow had so much richer a pve experience. I liked the mechanics of it, the variety, the depth of lore, the size of the lands. Too much changed for both me and my fiance in the past few months. And the cost was a factor in a tight monthly budget. So here we are back in regnum, the two of us and another two members of our family who used to also play wow. We love it, and are having a grand time.

As for the money, yah you could easily spend fifteen a month in premium items. You could also have a satisfying experience without it. Harder, absolutely! Get to about level 12 or 14 and you'll start to see the quests don't make an entire level. By level 20, quests will only carry about halfway. The rest is grinding. Upside of that? Really lets a person learn the mechanics of his or her class, plus establishes working relationships with other players--a vital element to success in the warzone.

While WoW eats your private life and takes away your freedom, Regnum isn't as addictive. It's safe. Just from this point of view, I recommend.

All you need to know about RO.
Its all about mass PvP.
This means its rather unfair.
Why? NOT because classes are imbalanced, simply there is no player cap in war zone.
For this reason I believe Ro is a hardcore PvP or rather RvR game, because sometimes you will be up against a syrtis zerg of 40 or more if you play on ra.
You can be part of that zerg and be bored becasue you cant hit anyone before the others kill them.
There are no dungeons, and me and most of the people playing Ro like it that way, because we want NGD to deepen the RvR experience.
Instead you will get to fight for your realm, or just for fun.
You will meet people overacting loyalty toward realms.
Others playing more than 1 realm.
You should also read the regnum comic to see what will you find and who will you meet in regnum while playing.
I think regnum is the best mediavel fantasy war simulation.

In the end you can decide whether you go back to play nicly orc in wow, or fight a sometimes uneven war.
So stop contemplating soldier and go out there and kick some gelf butt.

I enjoy the heck out of this game. Since upgrading my workstation, I have found very LITTLE bugs....and the lag everyone screems about is just gone for me.

I played WOW, DDO, and LOTR. This game beats them all IMO.

You will NOT spend as much here as playing WOW, don't know what that other guy is talking about.

You don't really need to spend anything to be effective in this game but it does help.

Suggestion to our other players that have negitive reactions on this thread:

Shutup! Do you think by insulting NGD in front of new people your going to make things better?

The more money NGD makes, the better this game will become.

EVERY SINGLE GAME ONLINE has buggs, exploits, cheaters and oh yes...TROLLS! Get over it.

its been nice so far. when i played wow, i had to turn my graphics down ALL the way. couldn't see far, no animations, etc. Regnum runs fine on my comp though...so if nothing else, i love that part of it. i figure i'll just use the $15 i'd spend on wow and buy myself a mount and a few things i'll need, but other than those, its FREE!
