For me the point was not to quit, I never wanted to quit because I liked smoking. I love the sensation of inhaling and exhaling it. When I found these things and switched over, I can now do something I love but at significantly reduced harm (probably to zero harm, and probably some benefits too considering how nicotine is used to counter alzheimer's and other things). I can breathe without wheezing, I can do stuff without getting winded, I've only done this for a month but already I feel better and healthier. And the good thing about these is that I actually like vaping more than I did smoking. I honestly can't see myself going back to cigarettes ever again, vaping is so much superior. I can actually put down my PV and go for long periods of time without it, whereas with cigarettes you felt compelled to have one at least once an hour. Instead of it being a compulsive addiction, I have transformed it into a hobby, a passtime, an enjoyable recreation, and I'm better for it. I hope those of you who smoke will be too. (:

I dunno i have had several attempts and they all failed. Im still enjoying a cig when i finished dinner, when i have a beer, when im waiting for the bus. I guess i will just have to wait and see what happens when i finished my study and go to work. I guess i will be less "bored" when im at work and i will have less contact with my friends because i won't have much time left for drinking beers etc. Anyways to the people who are actually quitting i wish you good luck!

Smoking - i did so for almost 26yrs. A pack to a pack and a half a day (25 - 40)
Then i hooked up with a guy here in-game who didnt smoke so I used a product called Champix and i havnt smoked for about 6 months now. Sure i get a craving now n then but i just think of what i have with him and the craving fades. I think if you really want to give up you will. |
