I think there may be a server side to this issue too. Created a new character which got me into the world but no inventory, and the world had nothing for me to interact with. No NPCs or anything like that.

I tried deleting many files downloading them again also reinstalled RO 1h of trying in 4 a.m. and nothing.

I followed isgandarli's suggestion and deleted all those files. It took forever for the program to re-download all that it needed to, and I fell asleep. When I woke up this morning to try it, it worked. I'm not sure if there's a correlation, or if the over-arching problem was fixed by the Regnum people, but I'm able to play again.

It was a server issue. Obviously it should throw some error message instead of crashing :P
