I really can't understand why people start leaving before trying the new stuff on real game conditions.
Most of us that have been through countless combat situations since 2007 can instantly imagine how comabt will happen with the smallest adjustments to the gameplay. Example: we told you what would happen when straffe was introduced. I for one predict first, then test for hours. If I am wrong I will be the first to let everyone know.
I will be back to see 1.7.7

I acctually can't feel bad, as you're pretty much the most fact ignoring person I saw on this forum about realm balance etc....

The gameplay was broken before, and he was still playing only because of obviously overpowered spells that made him Chuck Norris. No reason to play left now that they will most likely get nerfed :P

Seriously, you have to prioritize balance more. Two balance updates per year is just bullshit. We need one at least every two months, monthly ups would be better.

Surak, they leave not because of new stuff. They leave because they don't see some critical fixes in changelogs.

It is not a secret that position bug should be fixed and RO needs new balance update after new level cap.

Yeah, let's all make fun of DMC because he is quitting, it's totally not about you guys being pissed cause he has killed you over and over, no.

You have all been making the same complaints that DMC has made about the game, but now you find the chance to mock him about it? Why, because he killed you when you were grinding or something? Nice, real class people. QQ more.

I'd be pretty bummed out too, working all the way to become a WM and the only thing that you can do is give only to others the "power" of being a WM. You get almost nothing for yourself, you have to "beg" other WMs to feel what it is like being a powerful WM, which you are supposed to have become.

With this system I don't even know why anyone would bother becoming a WM, they can just leech off the power from others. And vice versa, if someone is a WM, why even skill the tree, they're not getting any benefit. Just use the points elsewhere and leech from other WMs that want to play the good samaritan.

I understand completely why he wants to leave, so many other things that should have been addressed by now and we get this ridiculous update instead. Every time, NGD says "don't whine, try it out first". So far this has almost never changed our opinion about an update - 90% of the time, when the community (at least the people that can form a proper english sentence) said an update is bad, it ended up being bad even after months of playing it.

Frankly, you change game rules too much, and still don't fix serious bugs.

I don't think people leave only due to a single nerf or the like, but because of a cumulative load of unsolved issues (bugs, realms imbalance, classes imbalance, unanswered tickets, accounts on investigation for weeks, bad or insufficient communication) and, obviously, personal schedule (children, girl, work, studies, ...).

But i guess this is pretty useless to write it.


Since one year, i saw so many good old players leave.... ie. Horus Syrtis is a ghost of a realm atm.

Why are people bitching about this update?

We asked for Warmaster nerfs, NGD delivered, now everyone is whining like any 5 year old would do. Sure, I might be able to think of slightly better ways to nerf the powers, but my ways would also involve significant amounts of new coding.

Theyre delivering what we asked for, but oh no, we must QQ more.

People are trying the new stuff and they don't like it, or it is buggy, they post multiple threads, some have higher and some lower temperature, but almost all are ignored, no matter what arguments they contain.

If you want to read a honest input, people are leaving because we join the game and we stay there because we like it, and then you change everything we liked and get used to, into things we don't like.

E. g. I left playing not only because my studies but also because that game tries to be like a and, what was worse, look more like WoW clone just with the difference of poor performance and lots of bugs (while the performance and lack of bugs are most important in a war game, without economy or non fighting skills), bad realm implementation, not to mention bad approach towards women.

Also nerfing is not the way of balance things, and I kept repeating it since years, not that I am much an expert but I developed a few RPG systems.

About Warmasters - we had it coming, some may find my posts on forums where I said "play with warmasters until you can, because now they are OP, yes, but soon they will be nerfed to death and rendered useless" - It is the same chain reaction since several years, it not fixes anything, and just causes disappointment and complaints from the community.

I was (I am?) a great fan of this game, I have put money in it in hope it will help to make things better. It seemed to be a great effort to create another RPG for Linux, that has nice graphics (it really didn't needed to be comparable to WoW to get fans).
