What about to put Realm Chat Back to the whole map?

On principle, I'm against realm chat in warzone.

But there are some new things to take into consideration since it has been removed:
- Horus population fell down very massively, all the hard work made on this game these last years got vanished cause of Warmaster update and new save system. We reverted 2 or 3 years back in time.
- there is 3 new servers Nemon, Raven and Piranha that split new comers.
- Now high level players have to grind exclusively in warzone. (EDIT)

Apart some things NGD should really work on as:
- completely revamp warmaster update: Bois' suggestion 1st post - 2nd post
- and revert old save system back. It's under way, but I'm still convinced 3 saves will fit better to low population servers than 1 unique save.

I think realm chat could temporary go back in warzone to help population to grow up again, or implement new rules for realm chat when you are in warzone.

For example, realm chat and inner commerce chat can be available from warzone only if you are close to a save, like 10 meters. It won't screw too much the fog of war, but you will can chat and help people inner realm when you're idling at a save.

They can't make it back because they'll have to fix a bug on it.
Remember old time with gobal chat, some people were able to crash everyone watching it.
It was an important issue and I think they just didn't find what happened and just closed it to "quickfix" it.

This is really a difficult one. Very tricky to deal with.

If players need mentoring, there are new tools coming available. The game counsellor system could fill this role. The game counsellor sees realm chat inside or in WZ and are able to provide responses to new players. that should be a reasonable solution to that issue.

The making realm appear alive thing is much more difficult. Now I am not really for the realm chat in the warzone but I think of 2 ways that might be interesting to think about.
As Nel mentioned, you could have realm chat hotspots at the save and markets.
Optionally, you could have realm chat but lose it once one of your structures get captured or your wall becomes vulnerable/invaded. If you are devastated you don't have it either. That may cause more problems than solutions but it could be interesting.

Such measures are temporary and could be modulated by polling server populations.

Reverting realm chat for the warzone in Horus would be horrible. There are many old posts that explain why.

One solution to the OP's problem might be to revert NGD's "social experiment" of removing the /users command.

Making realm chat read-only while in the warzone idea isn't too bad of an idea either. It's still a distraction, but at least people can't use it for WZ communication.

Old command /ignore works ..and i see no isues with "drama"...that other people talk.

For new people yes look dead..i dont care abou old people that not talk on chat..is they bussiness what they doo...but this days i was many times inside realm ...and some new players was asking thinks as :
"-hello anyone here?"
"-where i find x NPC"
"-anyone like this game?"

And noone answare..how do you think they felt?...i bet they felt alone and left.

Even there are people that complaint about that,at least a period to give a sign to new players :"This game is alive".

I think this notices are not enught.A human sign as talk on a chat is something diferent.A new player will see this notices ..but he has no idea what is going on around.
They feeling is as a person that is in a clan but is alone inside...talking with noone.I know many people that left a clan with a empty chat because they felt alone...a new player might have the same felling.

It is easy to judge chat from a old player perspective...but how about judge that chat from new player perspective?

Or they could learn from Raven's success and search within their community for people willing to help them with that task. Among other things, of course.

As far as I know, most people doing that job for GameSamba, used to play on Horus. Which meant that they had the resources, they just decided not to use them.

I am against realm chat in WZ. When you re in a war, you do not have much time to read spam on realm chat, or kids who rage with random "fsdfewwwwwwwwwwwwwdgsrydfffffffffffffffffffffffff fffffffgseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee rwest" strings. Well, unless you want to be amused when standing at save or waiting 20 minutes your enemies in their fort. Whenever I go in inner and have time to help, I ask on realm chat if any needs help with quests. When I am in war zone, I m focused on war and have no time to go inner. I also like to have minimum chat tabs open in war zone, so they would not distract me much.

War banners are fine for me. Even though I do not have access to them, I can always set up a party or ask in a clan to catch up with the latest war happenings.
