From markx perspective:
tbh - atm all locks are kinda the same. when in range you get dotspam+freeze / dizzy+ivy+dotspam. When not in range they dick around trying to not get hit by arrows. Cant blame em, got fuckd up by added bow range. Just want to say - theres no real diff btween a skilled and a noobish lock, theres just no real room for noticable impact. If they *can* cast they fuck you up with simple combos and unlimited simple cc chains, if not in rnage they
suck around hugging something no matter the skill.

From knight perspective:
LoL

I would say almost all classes were impacted regarding the skill requirement since a year. Game is much more about numbers that it was.

Still i think warlocks have very hard time now at war, and they still need skills and reflexes to survive.
We are far from warlocks era though (where sultars chains and sm ruled the world).

There is no real diff between a skilled and a noobish lock in large scale RvR because you don't get to cast a whole lot before the opponent is dead or ur dead and in the end, side with more number always wins. however skill will have a huge impact in small scale hunting and also in pvp where reaction time and hand techniques which are alll associated with casting speed makes a huge impact. all locks are kinda the same because they know what to cast in various conditions. spell choice doesn't take a genious to figure out. the key is how fast you can cast them under pressure where the reaction time, reflex, and all the other small details make a difference. Talking about combos and cc chains, warlocks being a pure spell based class have hundreds of sophisticated spells chains for different scenarios which makes them the most versatile class of all 6. That's why they are superior in pvp and hunting. I spent years doing research on warlock's combat system in order to maximize warlock's combat efficiency and improvements can still be made but ppl talk about warlock like it's all easy which i find very insulting. In small scale fights, it takes a lot more than easy looking combos to win. a experienced warlock would know. talking about simplicity, it only take 1 spell Burst of Wind or WinterStroke to screw up a warlock in RvR. what do most marksman do these days? they stay out of range 35+ and shoot uber high normals, maybe occasionally cast WinterStroke or BoW just to piss mage off and then lowprofile followed by sotw or one of the other to run away when opposing side is rushing in. Therefore, i can say here is no real diff between a skilled and a noobish player at all (in RvR) isn't that what you were trying to say? for the last time, tree hugging is a wz tactic. there is nothing wrong with tree hugging. smart players always utilize terrain to their advantage in combat. seriously enio you should shut the fuck up and show me how u play. having extensive knowledge of a class doesn't mean shit, just show me in a video.
